GC Plastic Card Tracker

guys, i called bcis yesterday and asked them how they can expedite the processing of my plastic card since i need it asap. i'm lucky i guess, the guy told me to hold on for a minute, come back told me that they will send a referral to vermont, he got my details, name, a #, eac, etc. i checked my status today and it was change to card ordered on oct. 7. same day that i called!

Per AVM card was mailed 10/9/03. Wife case status is still unchanged from approval. Will update once card is received.

still waiting for the card

My wife received the approval in the first week of April. She had her passport stamped in first week of May. Since then we are waiting for her card.

We changed our address, and updated BCIS about the address change using AR11. But, later when we called Vermont Center about the status, they said we had to send an additional address change letter to Vermont Service center, but wouldn't say what address shows up on their screen.

I wonder if a card was sent to the old address and the mail had gone back to BCIS, and could have been no change in the status either on their website or phone system.

I don't know why it's taking so long for the card to be sent. I have recieved my card with in a month.

My question is - Is the stamp good to travel and re-enter i am planning to visit my motherland in JAN, It has been 7 years.
 
The stamp is as good as the plastic card. I have travelled with the satmp only and had no issues
 
Stamp is good, however it is recommended to carry the I-485 Approval notice and the I-140 Approval notice.

Just to share with you guys: "Received the plastic card via mail on wednesday".

Here's a quick breakdown of my stats:

Came to this country: July 1999.
Applied for Labor: December 1999.
Labor approved: in 8 months.
Applied for I-140: August 2000.
I-140 approved in 3 months.
Applied for I-485 in December 2000.
Received RFE for employment letter in February 2003: replied within 2 weeks.
I-485 Approved in June 2003.
Passport stamped in July 2003.
Received Plastic card in October 2003.

Good luck to all of you who are still waiting for approval.
