pps stamped Newark 3rd July
cards ordered 1st oct
cards received 6th oct
all dates of year 2003

updated rupnet :)

the card sitll says INS and not BCIS!


though a card does not matter after the PP stamping

I feel bad that they have time and resources to order our cards but not to approve so many pending cases of people with RDs before december 2001.

lets hope the much awaited flood of approvals starts soon

Do you guys think its worth going down to the BCIS local office to inquire about the status of our cards since they are ones who were supposed to have forwarded our files for card production?....

If it's close by, give it a shot..But I doubt if they can give any clear answers to this..!

Any NYC stamped guys got their Card recently?

my wife got the card on 10/2/2003 (same PP stamp date as mine).

i' cud've been more fortunate had i been named shorter.

Did u have the 'name toolong' problem in EAD's?
Is it not that if it can be fitted in EAD, same should be in GC?
BTB how many alphabets in ur First,last name? just curious
as my name is tooo longgg
 
luk12 is from upstate NY (NYC ?? stamping). Her card was ordered recently. luk12, could you please confirm this.

I am not from NYC. I got stamped at latham. NY.
I received card in my mail today. Good luck for all of you who are still waiting for approval or plastic card. Thanks for all the help given to me.

PP stamped: 8/4/03
Card ordered: 10/1/03
Card mailed: 10/3/03
Card received: 10/7/03

Just checked the AVM.. message says card ordered Oct 7th. Wife's case still has the old message....

I did send in a G-731V form about a week ago for me and my wife. I don't think that had anything to do with it...

Thanks Sai... I guess 4 months is about the max time it is taking for a person to receive their cards. Except for X30 who has been waitingclose to 5 months.....

as far as i remember, even the forms that the lawyer filled out had 18 characters only. i had no problem on my EAD. and i used the same name as it was on my ead when i filled out that form on the stamping day. they suddenly came up with this notice, asking if it's ok if they can truncate it to 18 characters or if i want to be named after shakespeare..... i did maintain a 18 char name as of all applications. is your's a long name too on your application???

Firstname:14 Char
Middle Initial:1
Lastname:11 Char and this fitted in EAD..
Hope it comes out fine in GC too..!!
