Hi SaiSiree,

As I am seeing the trend of Getting Cards is mostly in 2 month and late by 4 months. So Now you have passed both the time frame.

It is better for you to contact your lawyer or there is a UCIS form that you can use send the inquiry to INS for you GC card only. Talk to your lawyer also. Do not sit and wait.

Address if changes
Where it was stamped.
but the letter should not be more than one page otherwise no one is in interested to read.

What is the UCIS form?

What is the UCIS form we are suppose to use? My passport was stamped in Dec, 2003 but haven't received plastic card until today. I did change address and write to VSC about the address change. Thanks for your response.

Recived cards on 06/18/04

We finally received our plastic cards on 06/18/04. So the journey is finally over.

Thanks for ur post. Yeah it's almost 10 months since my passport is stamped, still I did not get my card. I have sent the form G-731V a couple of times.
There was no reply on sending this form. But however when i called them I got a reply in about 3 weeks.

I called National customer sevice center 800 number in January 2004 for which I got a reply from VSC with the following note :

*****************************************************
Our computer systems show that your alien Registration card (form I-551) is still pending service consideration. Please allow 3 months to hear from this office.
**********************************************************

On May 3rd, I have sent the form G-731 again to VSC.

On June 17th, I called again National customer sevice #, I was again told that I should hear in 3 weeks from VSC. Iam awaiting for the reply.
 
Green Cards Received

We received our green cards in the mail yesterday!!!!!!! :D :D :D

welcome Notice dated 6/23 -- r'vd june 29

received green card July 1-- [which is actually white!]

gc mailer was dated 6/24 and was mailed 6/26 from kentucky

2 wierd/randon things-- hologram still says DOJ INS not uscis

and approval date was 5/19/04 which bears no relation to any date in my case!

can't believe I'm done after 4 years!

Waiting for card

Hi Everyone,
I got my and my wife's approval on 9th june and did passport stamping on 14th June at Newark. Now waiting for the plastic card. I verified my status yesterday and it looks like that last update date has changed on my case and not on my wife's case. I think this last update date changes when there is some movement on your case internally in USCIS (at least that is what their webiste says.. :).

So I am hoping to get card in near future. Looking at some of the friend's cases here in this forum, it is kind of scary that even for card some people has to wait for so long. Well anyway, Good luck to every one.

I will update my info when i will get card.
