GC Plastic Card Tracker

i got plastic GC in 8 weeks. wife got it yesterday after 16 weeks

Considering all the security aspects etc , would be nice if they can send the GC in a more secure way and have it deivered to the person rather than send it in ordinary post.

Just a suggetion . The Action and Reform group of this forum can consider recomending this to BCIS.

Afterall we are paying for all the processing.

BY THE WAY can anyone recomend a good website for BABY NAMES.

Plastic card received for spouse. Primary applicant still waiting

Spouse received card on June 29th. Primary applicant still waiting. Our PP was stamped on May 5, 2004

For Babynames website are old fashion...

trends are
a) Cut first (2 or 3) char(s) of a known name, create a name
b) Remove some char or chars from known name
c) Reverse your, wife or siblings name
Reversing in Indian language gives different name, English different name
Indian name eg) Ju lie and her sister is Li ju
English - Boston Redsox shortstop Nomar is Ramon,

You can come up with some creative name

Help about GC Plastic Card

Hello all:
I got stamped my passport with I551 stamp at Newark NJ UCIS office on 5.12.2004.
I have not yet received the welcome letters neither the physical Green Card.
My Case Status Online has not changed and not the telephonic message.
I have registered on UCIS website for e-mail updates about the I case. The UCIS shows online that the LAST UPDATE on my case was done on 6.28.2004..... any idea what does that mean? is it common to see that ur case was updated??
Any idea how far would be my GC in mail????
One question to others who got their GC in mail..... does your Case Status online change??? if yes to WHAT MESSAGE? and what would be the LAST UPDATE date?

Received plastic card yesterday.

card ordered: 7/9/2004
card mailed: 7/13/2004
card recv'd: 7/16/2004
 
Received the card. Was pretty fast I thought! For detailed info - please see the signature.

We stamped on 6/16/04 @newark. My wife cases LUD changed on 7/1/04 - May be for plastic card or for her pending AP that will be denied. 7/15/04 received email about card ordered on 7/14/04. LUD was 7/15/04 and case status text read same as email.

Any idea how far would be my GC in mail????
- May be a week to 10 day after card ordered.

So it just matter of time, I guess.

The trends that I have seen so far, you may receive the cards in mail this week. Update this thread once you receive.

Were you alone stamped or with family / kids ? . Since somebody told me that due to kids, adults card might come soon...
 
So if we follow the trend, one should expect the physical card in 8 weeks? Do you also get a email from uscis when they mail the card?
 
I stamped at Newark on June 30 2004 , Yesterday and Today my I485 LUD changes . It gives any signal processing my card , expect soon!!!!!
 
I Stamped my PP on July 7 at Newark,NJ.
LUD changed on July 13 2004, still displays same "Approved " message.

Passport Stamped 7/15/04 at Arlington VA.

Satus hasnt change since 7/6/04

So is VSC issuing the card?
Do they need to wait until you stamp your passport?
Who mail you the card?

The worst is over, I felt a huge release after 485 approval.
