Today I would like to share the following news:
After 12 years, a very difficult process, many tears and sleepless nights but with the help of God, my husband has received his green card.
I thank God for this day and for this moment. A day I never thought would come.
To all of you, THANK YOU!
Thank you for your time and for sharing your experiences with the rest of us.
Finding this forum helped me keep my sanity especially when things turned bad and wait became unthinkable
I can’t wait to hear and get more great news from all of you!
I know what you and your families have gone through and you all deserve happiness and peace of mind.
If there’s something I can do for you, don’t be afraid to reach out!
I refuse to retire from this forum until you all receive the good news!

I think it’s going to change once the I 485 gets approved which will be soon

I am so happy for you and your family. We all know how exhausting the whole process has been so anytime I read an update how someone get their written approval and finally gotten their GC it make me emotional. I know the wait is long, somedays are just harder than others, but I remind myself how lucky I am to be able to have a path to being legal when so many doesn’t. I hope each one of us remember the heartaches and continue to fight for some kind of immigration reform and not turning their back as many in my circle has been once they become legal.
