I checked the online status this morning and it says - Card production ordered.

I did not get any email updates even though I've created an email account with them.
(Update: we did get CRIS emails a couple hours after the approval messages appeared on the uscis page)

There were no LUDs in the last few months. The last LUD was on 8/8/07.

I did call them on April 1, 08 and talked to an IO and she said that my case was with an officer, but there was no guarantee "whatsoever" that my case will be processed soon. She also mentioned that I may get RFE, may be sent for interviews or my case could go back to the storage depending on number of cases the officer had...
My lawyer's office also called them yesterday, but of not much use - pretty much the same deal - “case pending, too many applicants, wait and wait."

On FP, I did my first and last code 3 FP in Aug 2006. So, no need to worry about doing it again.

On RFE, I did get one RFE on parentage/DOB back in Feb 2007. We submitted the required documents in March 07.

Let me know if you guys have any questions. I'm not sure what formula works, but if I may suggest, keep calling them or try to get in touch with them if your PD and RD are current. Good luck!

My case was also transferred from TSC to VSC some time during Oct-Nov 2006. I received a mail from them which said the same thing . I am still waiting..........

By the way, what is the number that you called ?

My case transfered to Vermont on March 13th.

When i called 800 number they said for faster process my case transfered to Vermont.

When i said Texas is processing April 2008 in Vermont 2006.

She said dont worry about those processing dates and i should hear something by April 2nd week.

Can we believe them ? .

I too called the number. First Representative talked and gave some information, which we already have in the web site. When I asked about whether I am eligible for 180 days rule and the status of case. She does not know anything about this and transferred me to second level saying transferring to an IO. It took 30 minutes and then another woman talked (I do not beleive she is an IO) and told the same story. I asked her about my eligiblity for 180 days rule. She said I am not eligible. Then I asked her my it is more than 8 months from my petition filed date. Then she said that I may be eligible for 180 days rule but I am not eligible for processing, as I am not out of processing time (as they are processing Apr 07 and my RD June 07). Then I asked when my file went to FBI for NC. She said no information about that. The above information (not useful) which she explained me are the only available information. I do not know how she tells still they are doing only Apr 07 when we can see some people got approved even filed in June 07 (May be NSC). Again Waiting situation

When you call after april they will say visa not available!

All,
Today my status changed to Card Production ordered.
It was a long journey for me to get to this stage.

I think the infopass did the trick for me today. I did a service request today morning thru infopass and in the evening i saw the case status change.

Called TSC on Wednesday - April 2, 2008

Sorry to be reporting late; I spoke to TSC on Wednesday - April 2, 2008 and I am not sure if she was an IO or not but she was nice and gave me appropriate information.

But first of all, my congratulations to ARC2007 on getting the magic mail.

After I gave my SRC number, the lady at TSC asked for my name and for SSN (first time any one asked for SSN) and asked me what I was needing. I told her I initiated my GC process 5 years ago and my PD has become current in April VB (it was my strategy to give her the rightful impression that the wait was long enough instead of she telling me that I applied for I-485 only in June 2007). She kept me on hold and she said my finger prints were OK and that my name check was pending immediately adding that I was eligible for the 180-day rule (without me even asking her about the 180-day rule).

Then she said that they have set themselves a target to clear all the cases falling within the 180-day rule subject to their PD being current before April 30, 2008 and that I should call them back if I don't hear from them before April 30. When I asked her what if the visa dates moved backwards again in May 2008 VB, she said they are trying not to move the dates backwards in future. I thought it was quite a fair response from a USCIS representative.

Today I saw LUDs on my 3-year H1B extension (after 6 years of H1B) and also my wife's H4 petition 3 months after I filed the same. I do not know what to make of these LUDs on H1B and H4 extension petitions as I have not seen any LUDs on our I-485s since August 2007.

Thanks Imm_Exploited for the information. As I mentioned in my previous post, I called IO and she said that my file not out of processing time, as they process Apr 07. I know it is fake, as we can see some June 07 files approval also. But no other way to argue with them. Even after I asked about 180 days rule, she said I am not eligible and also she even did not try tell me that I am covered under 180 day rule. It all depends on the IO or Rep we are talking with.

I called TSC yesterday and spoke to a respresentative. She was nice and told me that my "name check" has been cleared but my case has not been assigned to an officer yet. She did not disclose how and when it will be assigned to an officer?

Of course talking to the IOs does not help you get your green card, because they are not adjudicators and do not assign visa numbers to your file(s).

The IO is there only to respond to your queries and that too the best information they have access to. You mentioned 'trying this twice' and I am assuming you have tried calling them twice in April 2008?

Even if someone calls them on April 30, 2008, it is possible that they could give the same answer. What we need to see is if we called in May 2008 they would give a similar answer stating that they are trying to clear all pending cases by May 30, 2008.

Well, I know it depends on various factors such as the processing times and the May 2008 VB which should be available before April 18, 2008.

Bottomline is that all we can do is hope for the best because we are all at the mercy at US-CIS.
