My case transfered to Vermont on March 13th.

When i called 800 number they said for faster process my case transfered to Vermont.

When i said Texas is processing April 2008 in Vermont 2006.

She said dont worry about those processing dates and i should hear something by April 2nd week.

Can we believe them ? .

Not sure how useful this table is. Estimating future demand from responses on this website has been tried many times, and the results have been always inaccurate. This is because when USCIS opens the floodgates, you see few approvals reported by people on this list, but there will be many posts like "I am a silent observer. This is my first post. I got the magic emails today. What a relief - I feel like dancing..." . Followed by many posts congratulating the lucky guy. By the end of the month all visas have been used up, and you realize all your friends have been approved - only you have been left out.

I know this from bitter past personal experience.
 
Rolling Stone, I can understand the bitter experiences. But, I still feel it is worth a try. If not for anything else we will get to know how they are processing. Unlike Labor cert approval or I 140 approvals, I 485s are approved in a particular order. ( I am not sure what order it is). I have been told at least two theories.
PD determines a whether a person is qualified to apply for I 485 in a given month. It is determined by visa bulletin cut off dates. (I am sure we all are very familiar with this... )
a) Theory a says, once you apply for I 485 it is the RD that determines the immigration number allocation. Going by this theory, the table indicates the correct order.
b) Theory b says, RD is used only for processing I 485s. Allocating immigration numbers entirely depends on your PD. It means once you are within the processing dates given by USCIS then your PD will determine when you will get your GC. If so, then we need to order the table by PD not by RD.

I am eagerly waiting to see what happens here. I am assuming that everyone are equal (have no exceptions and any other problems) except for PDs and RDs.

Hi rollingstone,

I understand your frustration. You used to be silent observer. But some people like me try to put some thing here and waiting for long time to get GC. Still we are doing this means to get at least some information at some time. That's why I started this poll. But other than who responded fully for this poll (including their PD and RD,etc.,) there are lot other people even do not provide their information fully. Then how can anyone in our situation have accurate information. For example, even we cannot see what is your PD, RD and no information. At least let us think positive always and wait for good news. Thanks
