@jayo2k, I agree with you this is just a rumor. Searched all over the internet and nothing about this... it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow as if this is true, then someone has an inside info about DOS and knew that a decision has been made...again very interesting that nothing has come up about the OIG review!
The only thing we know so far is that an investigation has been launched regarding this issue.... That's all we know... Oh & that lawyer Kenneth White who is raising funds for a class action lawsuit... or just for himself...

Nope, got nothing from dos... I know dos didn't tell anything when the website went down, even on their facebook page they didn't tell anything... just happen like that... but my question is who brought that june 17 date...?
Not sure how the 17th come into existence. Is unlikely but not impossible. We just have to wait and see. Do you really think govt wont honor the notification letters?

always remember that anything is possible (esp. in this lottery). Remember the forumer named DVstart? He said that one of his buddies work at DOS who told him about the re-draw before it had taken place. Well, someone posted on Facebook saying that he also has a friend that works there and he was told that a hearing would take place 6/17/11 at 4pm concerning the investigation.
well, even if this is true about the hearing, it can also be that the result are definitely void... me, i won't believe until I see it... btw, you are right about DV start, well, now he seem to have been baned... he would have been a good help
I feel nothing will happen tomorrow , the 1st hope is to not cancel this year results by any method ,, i am one of 22000 winers but i do not like the petition and court way,,,, although i am frustrated ..

although i dunno how.I also was among the 22k... the petition ain't bad because it is peacefull, the lawsuit... not a good idea... I would also love to hear anything tomorow, a good news would be perfect like (11k visas for the 22k & the rest of the selection goes normal meaning 50k for 100k selectees...) but I higly doubt it... all this came from a unknown facebook user who posted about a hearing...

An investigation can mean anything...perhaps they think that one person messed with the computer software to influence the results...that is usually the reason for an investigation. They might check who is connected to that person and go after anybody related to that person to check out their backgrounds...
I don't think they will reward anybody with something they already publicly announced is not going to happen. The can't flip flop and set themself up for lawsuits.

Even the investigation to me is not really gonna make big diff. If someone messed with the software, they would have covered it up before OIG steps it. OIG began investigation like a week or so after the results were voided. They might be left with nothing to investigate. And if the say computer error, it can mean anything including human error. i dont think anybody manipulated the results. If the wanna manipulate the results, that wud be after selection, that is during data entry and registration of winners.
