I will have the same feeling of the non winners ,but this happy feeling is because i will have another chance to win not because other people lost their chances for ever , and do not think the problem is in the date ,, we all know before this lottery "any time chosen by the computer was accepted for us even if the computer chosen all the people from a certain date or even an hour"you know why? because it is a lottery ==>no role in choice unless human interfere occurred"which did not happened "
why you think 22000 took the looser chances ,,acually when i said 22000 should be reselected ,because it never happened before that a person win lottery for twice ,, that why the chances of winners is zero , and chances of non winners is normal with double trials.

Ok first of all, all what you're saying is pure speculation. You can't know if an error occured in previous lotteries. And according to the polls on various forums, everything was truly random. People have been trying to find some sort of a pattern for years btw.

Secondly, this time, in the interview they admitted to using a new program, which gives more reason to believe that all the drawings before this one, were fine.

, which is not true, because it has happened a lot. I'm sure this time, there will be selectees from every day of the submitting period, just not as many from the first 2 days. So, deep down you actually realize that when the selection is done properly, many of you won't win. But since this error happened, you're now exploiting it as the means of getting what you want, forgetting about common sense. Basically you guys are trying to blackmail the US government.

The thing is, this UNFAIR selection has been used for many years. Like the DV-2011, it's known that the selectees are mostly from the application of the last 2 days. So what's the point to cancel only this year after the notification letters were already released?
Now the case is going to be in court process. So those who against don't worry too much. Let the court to decide the future of the 22000 people.

Please provide proof? My friend didn't enter in the last days and won...

Greed is what some of the so called winners have...to get a free pass while it was very clear a computer glitch happened.
One person stated that computers don't make a mistake...I guess they never used a computer for a long time...even a calculator can have an error and can give you the wrong answer when you type in 7 x 8 =..... I had it the other day and threw away that calcualtor since it was older and probably not working to welll which I noticed when something didn't make sense to me and that was when I typed 7 x 8 and the calculator had it wrong...

Btw what class action? Who will pay for it? Which law firm? So far I have not seen any proof of any class action law suit and do you have any clue how many years they take.

I have entered in 2 class action lawsuits since I was notified by mail that an item I had bought was eligible and I needed to have proof of that....for one it was 2.5 years ago that I entered and the other one almost a year ago....

If you relay this to the DV lottery than the so called winners are out of luck by the time they will ever see any result from the courts...because it won't change the dates and other requirements. It is not that if that law suit would be filed and won, the person will directly go to Start and receive a GC...It is not a Monopoly game.

As of the issue of nobody has ever won twice thats not true,there re people out there who had won DV before and gets disqualify based on requirements or failed medical tests and the next year they still win again with different photo but of the same person.This a lottery there is no rules that says previouse winners that gets disqualified should not applied again base on that he/she have won before no laws about that the only laws is when the winner has gotten the GC then he/she can not applied for lottery.This is just a lottery man.

Yeah what I meant was that, deep down pseudo-winners very well agree that the selection was flawed, they're just in denial, finding ways to explain everything in their favour... hoping to achieve at least something. I just think they've gone too far and it may backfire as someone has posted.

My dear, people do it all the time but not with dv lottery. People always appeal GC denial here in the US. For you information, USCIS once made a mistake, they mistakely updated the visa bulletin and people who supposed to be current in 2 yrs time became current in no time. The USCIS had no choice but to honor such mistake. Green card were issued. So i wont be surprised if the govt reinstate the results. I think they will make decision soon. They wont settle in court because if the do, they first thing the judge will do is to put the result of dv 2012 on hold, meaning, there will be no results by July 15th.

Atta didn't came on the DV program, he was on the CIA watchlist so he would have be denied the gc with the DV program so it might be someone else

It was one of the 9/11 terrorists who was involved. Remember Ata was stopped by the police and still went on to fly that plane. They got their licenses to fly....criminals are always one step ahead...and luckily almost always make a mistake and get caught...hopefully sooner than later.

I put up a link about a few cases that drawn media attention in the past where DV winners committed crimes. But it is not just the crimes, some are stating that people who have not much to add to this Country can easily move here while perhaps better qualified people than people coming in on a DV GC....meaning lower schooled employees.

Not my words but the words of many people who are against the DV program.

For people wanting to sue and complain about the lottery, not a very good thing if the DV lottery just kept themself to the requirements which means it has to be a randomly selected lottery and the glitch made that not to happen.

we feel we have rights to speak and explain what we feel towered the DOS decision,, but if you read my previous topics i repeated alot that i completely respect any decision taken by DOS .Although i am a winner ,i did not even sign any petition ,,,
But other winners decided to be more +ve , and i believe if they went to the court they will win the lawsuit ,Although i do not like this way but i respect their decision , you should also do the same thing ,& Again do not be selfish in your thoughts maybe you look at the idea from a view & the others look from another view ,I really do not know who is the right one , but using these diseased thoughts make me feel some hate in your heart , and i do not like these kind of hearts .

this is completely true , that's why i did not sign the petition or the lawsuit although i am a winner..
I think "this is my own opinion " the worst reaction from the winners will be in 15th July , when they discover they are not selected they will be more and more angry,,
Although Dv is a plan B or C for most of us ,but for me i feel i think alot about this secondary plan more than the primary plan which i manage it very well , and this make me smoke alot!!

ok..that was adressed to the petitioners...I don't hate, but why is it that when those guys won, and we disagreed that it had been an honest picking, they called jealous losers and now they disagree and we can't even say anything? In any case, I don't care anymore..whatever happens happens. Maybe we're all wrong in a sense..
