DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Stick to the basics, avoid convoluted long story. She contacts your congress person requesting assistance with obtaining status updates on her application. She states it is a DV based application, when she filed, completed bio, and that there’s been no update since then. Keep it simple!
Thanks. Any chance to send them additional documents, or pictures, so they can be attached to the case or rather nonsense?

Yes, I read that and that's why I asked if the documents I listed above would be enough. This ones:

The apartment is under my name because I didn't want to pay extra money for a credit rating check... The bills are also on me. There is no insurance. We don't have join accounts or joins credits cards. The car is in my name and paid off because I bought it long before the marriage. Phone calls, postcards, chats between each other - it's all there. A bunch of photos on the phone and in reality.
Well, like I already responded, I don't know if the IO will deem what you have enough or not.

Congressional case inquiry assistance is meant for obtaining case status updates, when available, from USCIS. You had your one shot chance of responding to the RFE.

Hello,
My current status is TPS. But if I submit all the documents for AoS in the United States, and after that my status will be cancelled (nobody knows what Trump will come up with next to the immigrants), will I be in a Pending status in the US by waiting for a decision on my Green card.

And if my status is cancelled before I will submit the documents for AoS will I have to leave the US and go on a Consular Procedure, right?

1. Yes, you’ll be in AOS pending.
2. Correct.

Hi dear I have not said ICE list I said ice form . Because the form which they sent to me was form G-56 and is mostly used by ICE office for call . Please google it.

The list I have attached is the 2nd page only . The first page was form G -56 . Thank you .
Guarantee you ice does not care what your educational qualifications are, or most of those other questions apart from being in the country legally. I know what a DV AOS qualification list looks like, and that’s what you got.

It could. While the original copy of the B/C is not required to be submitted, you're required to have it with you as the IO could request to see the original copy. So ask your parents to mail it out to you.
Probably safer to courier than mail, depending what country the parents are in (where I come from you would never send anything of any value through the mail.)

Hello everyone, I received my interview letter, what documents do I need to bring along for the interview? Do I need to take my original marriage certificate or birth certificate?

That's the idea - I expected/assumed the OP will ensure an appropriate delivery method considering the value of what is being sent. I wasn't recommending using snail/regular post..

Yes, the expectation is to show up with the original version of any supporting document you included with your package. Take a look at the Interview Tips tab of the AOS process spreadsheet.

p.s. do update the Timeline spreadsheet with your interview info.

1. My case number is EU19*** and my TPS is valid till 04/19/2025 (and I also applied for TPS re-registration). So if I send all the package of documents to the USCIS on 1st of April, when my number becomes current, I will be still in the TPS status and that's whould be ok for USCIS?
2. Can my application be approved and green card issued if I still be waiting for the re-registration approval of TPS status for the new period of time (till October 2026) as in fact my current TPS status ends in April 2025?

1. If your AOS package is formally accepted by the Lockbox on or before 4/19, you’ll be deemed to have applied for AOS while still in a valid TPS status.
2. USCIS tends to wait for the approval of a pending EOS or COS application before approving the AOS application.

My money order for DV fee was delivered on 7th February. I am waiting for the receipt. I emailed KCC and they answered

“KCC has received your request however, the payment has not been received for receipt processing. Once it has been received, please allow 2 to 3 weeks for receipt payment to process.”

What does this mean? It has been 14 days, yet they are still saying the payment has not been received for receipt processing and that I should wait 2-3 weeks for the payment process once the payment received. Does this mean these 14 days are not counted in the payment processing time?

Dear @Sm1smom , I have not received the interview letter yet, But I received a call from an officer at my FO last Friday, to schedule the interview on a convenient day for me. And that is the only method I heard about my interview. My account is also not updated. Is this a possible scenario that your interview will be scheduled over a call? I also did not receive any checklist of documents for the interview. Please let me know your thoughts.

I have received interview letter but my status still same "fingerprint taken".

You just need to be patient. It is not unusual for it to take up to 4 to 6 weeks before getting the payment receipt. Stop stressing yourself trying to figure out what the email response means, it’s basically their way of saying you’ll get the receipt when you get it.

To confirm, you did include a SASE with the payment?

Don’t just check the Timeline spreadsheets (both current and past), I recommend you add your own case details to the 2025 Timeline spreadsheet to enable you and others compare your progress with one another.
This forum thrives when everyone contributes their quota to help one another. Don’t expect me to keep answering your questions if you’re not willing to do your part seeing as you haven’t bothered to add your case timeline to the Timeline spreadsheet as recommended a while back.

Hi everyone,

Wanted to provide an update on our cases and ask for next steps. Both of our cases are stuck on biometrics taken first week of November 2024. My spouse was selected, I am the Derivate applicant.

I responded to an RFE end of November asking for marital relationship evidence with driver licenses sharing same address, car titles sharing address and names, apartment lease, and a bunch of insurance documents showing both names dating back almost a year before DV selection until RFE was responded to.

We are now approaching 3 months since the response was received in the field office.

I initiated a congressional inquiry 3 weeks back, no response so far.

I initiated a service request as over 60 days passed since RFE was received by FO about 2 weeks ago, got the generic response „ We are still reviewing your case. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision“.

The case is not in line with processing times for the field office. From looking at the last years, about 60 days at maximum (average distorted by a case that transferred from somewhere else). On the other hand, nobody reported an RFE from this office.

It took less than 3 weeks from submitting to get the RFE and since then it’s dead silence. The last worked on date EMMA/phone agents see has not changed and is still the day when the RFE was issued for both cases (November 2024).

1. Should my spouse as the primary applicant initiate a congressional inquiry or service request?
2. Should we send a letter to the director of the FO explaining the situation?
3. Does this situation ring any bells / implies what might be going on, maybe the RFE response was not satisfactory (wouldn’t this lead to interview, second RFE, or straight rejection)?

I am at a loss what to do…
I am the applicant with the “distorted case from last year” , I can confidently say that navigating the immigration process requires patience and resilience. Based on my experience and that of others I personally know, the St. Louis field office has been waiving interviews for the past few years. However, this process is not always predictable, and timelines can vary significantly.
During my journey, there were moments when I felt my case had been abandoned, particularly after moving to a different jurisdiction. The uncertainty was challenging, but when I least expected it, I finally received an update. I also know of previous winners from this field office who received Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and had to wait several months before their interviews were waived.
One key piece of advice I can offer is to trust the process and remain patient, especially if you have already initiated congressional inquiries. These cases often take time, and it’s important to stay informed while allowing the system to work. You are in the best forum in the world. Good luck to everyone

I have received interview letter but my status still same "fingerprint taken".
That’s not uncommon, don’t worry. My status remains the same till today.
When we received interview letter for the derivative applicant first, i asked Emma and they didn’t even know we were scheduled. We attended the interview last week, and still only showing fingerprints taken.
