If it helps anyone, my process updated on myuscis like this:

- Fingerprints were taken
- Card is being produced
- Your Case was approved
- Card was sent to me

(I was uncertain before as I never received an interview letter, but it was indeed waived)

Hey mom! @Sm1smom

I have question: I read the letter that was sent to me for the interview and I am a little confused...do they need to send it or do I just need to take to the interview what is described on page 2? Also, what about the I-864 form?
1. Take along to the interview.
2. Take a look at the Interview Tips tab of the AOS Process Spreadsheet.

I tried updating the excel sheet but it says view only!!
1. Click the Green View Only dropdown at the top of the spreadsheet
2. Follow the instructions beneath it (to send in an access request)

The spreadsheet access got changed because some folks were messing around with the data by sorting and re-arranging the display to suit their personal need).

Not sure what you mean by ICE list, it looks like a standard list of what a FO would need to approve a DV AOS application, ie, that you meet the requirements both for DV and to be able to adjust.
Hi dear I have not said ICE list I said ice form . Because the form which they sent to me was form G-56 and is mostly used by ICE office for call . Please google it.

The list I have attached is the 2nd page only . The first page was form G -56 . Thank you .

Hi everyone,

Wanted to provide an update on our cases and ask for next steps. Both of our cases are stuck on biometrics taken first week of November 2024. My spouse was selected, I am the Derivate applicant.

I responded to an RFE end of November asking for marital relationship evidence with driver licenses sharing same address, car titles sharing address and names, apartment lease, and a bunch of insurance documents showing both names dating back almost a year before DV selection until RFE was responded to.

We are now approaching 3 months since the response was received in the field office.

I initiated a congressional inquiry 3 weeks back, no response so far.

I initiated a service request as over 60 days passed since RFE was received by FO about 2 weeks ago, got the generic response „ We are still reviewing your case. We will mail you a notice when we make a decision“.

The case is not in line with processing times for the field office. From looking at the last years, about 60 days at maximum (average distorted by a case that transferred from somewhere else). On the other hand, nobody reported an RFE from this office.

It took less than 3 weeks from submitting to get the RFE and since then it’s dead silence. The last worked on date EMMA/phone agents see has not changed and is still the day when the RFE was issued for both cases (November 2024).

1. Should my spouse as the primary applicant initiate a congressional inquiry or service request?
2. Should we send a letter to the director of the FO explaining the situation?
3. Does this situation ring any bells / implies what might be going on, maybe the RFE response was not satisfactory (wouldn’t this lead to interview, second RFE, or straight rejection)?

I am at a loss what to do…

For the translation of a birth certificate, does it have to be an originally signed document, or is a copy of the translated document from an electronic copy acceptable?
Hello! everyone,
I have a similar question as furkan06. I only have an electronic copy of my birth certificate and a translated copy as my original is with my parents back home. Will that cause issue at interview.
Thank you.

It could. While the original copy of the B/C is not required to be submitted, you're required to have it with you as the IO could request to see the original copy. So ask your parents to mail it out to you.

1. Did you bother to read my last two responses to you?
2. You could do that if you like. It's not likely to have an impact at this point though IMO.
3. No, it does not imply anything. If they're not satisfied with the RFE response, the case will eventually be denied, there will be no 2nd RFE. However, no decision has been made on your case as of now, that is why you have no update.

G-56 is not exclusively an "ICE form". It's a generic form used to indicate your presence is requested by Department of Homeland Security for a matter regarding your immigration status. USCIS is part of DHS, just like ICE. Stop overthinking it. It's a regular invitation for an interview.

I'm not sure how useful this will be for you, but I'm asylee and my wife is asylum pending...

P.S. We doing AOS via DV program because of my wife not included in my asylum case.
Thanks for replying. I see you have a scheduled interview date April 1. I wish you good luck and let us know how it goes. My questions are: Did you follow the process and filed up the documents by yourself or you hired anyone. Is your wife referred to immigration judge or she never had an interview yet for the asylum case?

Thanks for the response. Actually, no, the second response slipped through. I was under the impression it would be best to wait for a response on my congressional inquiry before my wife inquires.

We will do so today - should we provide anything in the reasoning, despite husband (me) submitted RFE and no response?

Stick to the basics, avoid convoluted long story. She contacts your congress person requesting assistance with obtaining status updates on her application. She states it is a DV based application, when she filed, completed bio, and that there’s been no update since then. Keep it simple!

Hey mom @Sm1smom

I have a question, do you think this will be enough evidence that our marriage is real?

- tax return last 2 years + preparing current one for 2024
- car insurance
- mortgage application (We were denied a mortgage and given a letter with the reason for the denied)
- I can also ask a friend to write a letter stating that we have a real marriage (she serves in the Air Force) (optional)
- We have a dog and a lot of photos, of course.

Thanks

I don't know if that will be enough or not. Here's a list you can take look at to help you prepare:

- Copies of joint income tax returns.
- Evidence of commingling of financial assets (Evidence of joint banking statements)
- Credit cards, video club, health club memberships, etc. held jointly by both parties
- Real estate/property deeds, mortgages, loans, showing joint tenancy in residence or other property bought together; Or Apartment lease, or a letter from the landlord indicating dates that both spouses lived at the apartment, or copies of rent receipts showing both parties’ names
- Evidence of wills and life insurance policies naming one another as beneficiary
- Evidence of medical or health insurance plans which name the spouse as a beneficiary member
- Copies of utility bills showing both names and marital residence
- Evidence of joint ownership of automobile
- Evidence of vacations taken together, including airline tickets, itineraries, and hotel bills
- Religious marriage certificate if there was a religious wedding; invitations; reception arrangements
- Document from an employer showing a change in records to reflect spouse’s new marital status
- Evidence of correspondence between the parties, including letters, birthday and holiday cards, telephone calls, and other correspondence addressed to the parties together as a couple.
- Document from an employer showing designation of the spouse as the person to be notified in event of accident, sickness, or other emergency
- Wedding Photos, and non-event specific photos.

Yes, I read that and that's why I asked if the documents I listed above would be enough. This ones:

- tax return last 2 years + preparing current one for 2024
- car insurance

The apartment is under my name because I didn't want to pay extra money for a credit rating check... The bills are also on me. There is no insurance. We don't have join accounts or joins credits cards. The car is in my name and paid off because I bought it long before the marriage. Phone calls, postcards, chats between each other - it's all there. A bunch of photos on the phone and in reality.
