Hello. I wanted and still want..., I was just trying to find a proper mood to do it.. because It seems the destiny is joking me and my family...@OlenaK - your interview was a couple of days ago. How did it go? Do you mind sharing an update with the forum?
Thanks for the update. Keep your fingers crossed and try not to loose hope.Hello. I wanted and still want..., I was just trying to find a proper mood to do it.. because It seems the destiny is joking me and my family...
First of all, I'd like to say thank you very much for all support and useful advice I got here!
So, the interview was scheduled on Monday June 3rd noon time. I'm as a main applicant got an invitation letter that stated to bring the spouse and children to the interview. My family members didn't get such kind of invitation and haven't got any updates in their USCIS accounts. I was told that's ok and this happened usually . So we have arrived to FO in 15 min earlier, did a check-in on the 1st floor (by the way , just FYI - only one from 12 'windows'/consultants was open and working, and one window - for check-in). For the check-in process they took my fingerprints and photo, the beneficiaries didn't do that. We went up to the second floor and were seated at the waiting hall to wait to be called by IO. We were waiting about 20 min and were invited to come in by the IO (on he first glance, she was nice and smiling). We did all regular things that people described about normal interview process, usually: made an oath, checked some bio briefly like my names, address, my spouse and daughter info, current employment, education, my parents' info, my current immigration status, and if I supported my legal status all time , yes/no questions like "have you ever..", asked a few questions to my beneficiaries. Everything was OK, and she told us that everything looks good to her , BUT she just got documents for my case only, she didn't get documents for my husband and daughter...and she requested their documents/cases from the building across the street, literally, and it should come to her overnight. I asked about background checks , if anything should be required or we should wait for smth, she replied that she has everything she needs. I asked if we need to provide smth else, or if we should come to new interview, she stated that everything is good, no additional interview is needed and it will be done ASAP, and she's aware about time sensitivity.
So today is Friday... and nothing new since Monday, USCIS account still shows 'interview scheduled' ...., I have no words to say.., I mean I don't have censor words any more.. Either there is a big mess at this FO or I'm out of luck at all ...
Hi mom, just to update you that you were right, I was given a date and time for the bio through the live agent today.Waiting 11 days (even if it seems longer than what others from your ASC have experienced) is not a long time. ASC workloads do fluctuate, which impacts when bio appointments get scheduled. So be patient for now.
Be P.A.T.I.E.N.T!Hi mom, just to update you that you were right, I was given a date and time for the bio through the live agent today.
However, after giving me the date and time, the agent also told me: "Your ASC Appointment Notice is not available for me to review at this time. I will need to submit a service request for your ASC Appointment Notice to be sent to you. Please allow up to 30 days for a response to be issued."
I think that it was just scheduled - most likely today, so maybe the initial notice wasn't even issued and sent yet at the time I asked. Would there be any other reason an agent can't see the bio notice on their end if they have the date and time?
If it has to get reissued and takes up to 30 days, I will miss the appointment that is 3 weeks away. Hopefully, the notice will be here before then.

More often than not, they can’t because most IOs/FOs do not bother to upload the interview information for DV based cases after they get scheduled, so the agents will have no update to provide. Yes, it is normal.Hi, mom
Will Emma inform me of my interview time if I ask? Additionally, USCIS has not been updated to reflect my fingerprint record, which I did on May 23rd. Is it normal?
Today Uscis updated the accounts.Did you check today?Hi, mom

I did today - thanks for the heads up to check my accountToday Uscis updated the accounts.Did you check today?
Why on earth did you do that? There was no reason to inform your school about your pending I-485 - as a matter of fact, informing your school of your new status should only happen after you’ve received the actual GC itself and not before (not even with just receiving the approval notice).Hi mom,
I got a problem. I informed the international student office at my uni that I'm on I485 pending right now. However, they ended up terminating my F-1 status (already asked them if there's still a chance of retrieval). So I'm worried that this will be considered out of status when case reviewing. I went through some forums saying this is fine but I'd like to check again. Thank you so much
Oh oh, hasty move from both parties. There is a lot of conversation here in the past years re:informing DSO.Hi mom,

That is what the Timeline spreadsheet is for. Take a look at them.hi Mom
Is there any way to check whether Chicago lockbox and FO accepts early-filling packages?
Maybe you can tell based on your experience you read so many different stories every day so I guess you might know that.
Thank you in advance!
Yeah that's so. I'm extremely shocked that they just terminated my F-1 immediately lol. And yeah I understand all the risks.however you can remain in the US pending the adjudication of your AOS application - this is assuming the termination occurred after your AOS application was accepted by the Lockbox.
I don't want to stress on it either but rethinking this and the letter says to submit a payment and it's been 18 days I haven't received the acknowledgment of the cashed money order in the mail. Guess wait until 4 weeks and email kcc then to check what's going on ?Okay. I wouldn't stress over this. Someone at KCC seems confused on what they ought to be doing and they're sending out boiler plate messages as part of their confusion. Something similar to this has happened before.
When I say don’t stress over the email saying to submit a payment, I truly mean don’t stress over it.I don't want to stress on it either but rethinking this and the letter says to submit a payment and it's been 18 days I haven't received the acknowledgment of the cashed money order in the mail. Guess wait until 4 weeks and email kcc then to check what's going on ?
So what was your reason for informing them in the first place?Yeah that's so. I'm extremely shocked that they just terminated my F-1 immediately lol. And yeah I understand all the risks.
