DV 2024 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Yes, sure, I can confirm that my spouse and I have never emailed anything to KCC.

Hello everyone. I was selected for the 2024 DV Lottery. My PD was March 2024 and that’s when I filed. I am an F-1 student presently maintaining my OPT status legally, which expires July 2024.

I have been working and already have an EAD card. I also filed my I-693 concurrently. Submitted all required documentation including supplemental paperwork that strengthens my case that I won’t be a public charge. I check the mail everyday and I have not received an RFE as yet. I tried my best to do everything in my power to avoid a delay in my case.

Presently my case status online reflects that my fingerprints were applied to my case. My FO is Dallas but the NBC has been working on my case since March 4th.

I have not received anything in the mail as yet and I’m wondering if I should just prepare to head home to my country of birth.

From my understanding, is it best to leave as soon as my OPT expires? Let’s say I do return home immediately once OPT expires. Would the USCIS still process my case until September 30th, 2024? Seeing that I am applying through the AOS route instead of using the Embassy route. Should I chance waiting during the 60 day grace period to see if the USCIS approves of my case.

I do not wish to accrue days of unauthorized stay in the US. If anyone has wisdom or sound advice about my case that would be appreciated.

Since you have already filed for AOS back in March while having a valid status, you can remain in the US after your current OPT status expires in July while your AOS application is pending. You have until the end of the FY, which is September 30th to get your case approved, and you can remain in the country until then even if your current status has expired. If you depart from the US (without having an approved AP card) while your AOS application is pending, your AOS application will be considered abandoned and subsequently denied.

I recommend you add your case progress to the 2024 Timeline spreadsheet to enable us compare your case progress with similar cases from your FO.

Is it possible that I received this email because I started to fill the ds260 before? Specially because as you know just one time in the beginning of the form there is an option that we can choose to kcc send our file for uscis, (this option is available just one time at the first and after that you can't see this option anymore)

No, I do not believe it is because of that. The content of the email does not suggest to me it has anything to do with the unsubmitted DS260.

Now, my question is how they received my information when I didn't submit my DS260.
Is this normal?
What should I do about my ds260? can i leave it as it is?? Or I have to submit it???

what is the content of the "attached letter".I got the same email after my sent the DV payment of $330.
Hi @Sm1smom After I sent in the $330 money order, I received an email saying "thank you for letting us know you would like to go the route of AOS.Please send a $330 money order".I mean I just sent it based on which they replied. I have not received the acknowledgement receipt in the mail in the SASE I sent though yet.

No, but soon after the money order was cashed is when I received this email. I thought it's a regular email saying thanks for letting us know you would like to go AOS route.
My question is it normal to first receive the email and then the acknowledgment receipt ? 15 days since I sent the money order (weekends included)

From where did you receive your email? KCC or somewhere else?
