DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Today, I finally got the update from the USCIS. However, it is the RFE asking me to provide all the I20s (which I did at the interview), enrollment verification, grade report, and so on. I am working on it but at the same time, I feel confused and frustrated since even the one I presented at the interview is the most up-to-date when I submit the AOS package. Even the RFE letter itself ask for the evidence until the date I filed my i485. Just reminding all the F1 students please have your record up to date. Don't just bring the one you sent out in the package.
I added all enrollment verification, enrollment letters, grade report, academic transcripts, all I-20's received, Certificates of all academics programs attained while on F1

Hello, I have a question regarding the medical exam. I had my exam back in early January with the expectation my CN would go current that month as the cutoff was very close. Then my region barely moved for 2 months. Now it's been more than 60 days since my exam and the temporary 60 day waiver is only effective until March 31st. My CN only just went current so do I now need to submit my application before March 31st to avoid having to do the exam again? Or is it still valid for 2 years from the date CS signed?

The medical exam will need to be accepted by USCIS on or before Mar. 31st (not just submitted) in order for you to take advantage of the current 2 year validity period which is expected to come to an end on Mar. 31st.

I am a little bit confused on the terms used on the timeline spreadsheet. I live in Illinois. I sent the 330 fee payment in St. Louis and I send my package in Chicago.

-What is the difference between ASC, Field Office, Lockbox Location?
-What is the difference between these two locations St.Louis/Chicago?

Take a look t the NBC_LOCKBOS_FO tab of the AOS Process Spreadsheet.
2. St. Louis is the address for sending the DV Administrative fee. Chicago is one of the Lockboxes for sending the AOS package.

Hi Sm1smom,

My case moved to “Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken” after I took my biometrics last week. I still haven’t received an interview waiver/notice and have been anxiously waiting since. Do you know if i can expect the case status to change before receiving a paper by mail or could the notice/waiver arrive in the mailbox any day now (i am ~day 27 since lockbox delivery)? Looks from the spreadsheet that most people receive their interview notice within a week of their biometrics notice, so getting curious if as time passes i may be more and more likely to get a waiver?

I can’t predict how soon it will be before you get your IL. Your FO, based on what you’ve listed on the Timeline Spreadsheet has not waived any interview so far this year that I’m aware of, so I doubt you’ll be getting a waiver. You shouldn’t be comparing your case status with those of ‘most people’ on the spreadsheet, your point of focus should be with those in the same FO as yours. All the FOs operate independently from one another, their interview scheduling or waiver is independently done.

Hi Sm1smom,
I am going to mail all documents and forms to lockbox this week. I have just sent my federal and state tax return forms by mail. So,I am going to sent the copy of my federal and state tax return forms for 2022 as IRS tax transcripts could be done in 4-6 weeks. I am going to order the transcripts to interview as well. Also I include all other financial support documents. Is it normal ? Thank you!

The decision to include as much or as little financial information documents as possible is your call.

There is someone on the spreadsheet with the username SKH (could not find him/her on the forum). His/her interview was waived recently and I wondered his/her field office.

SKH, if you read this message, can you please provide us with your exact field office?

Hi Sm1smon, I have two questions;
1. I submitted the application without the DV receipt in Dec 2022 and I have been sending an email requesting for the receipt. Sometime last month they replied and said I provide evidence showing the payment. I reached out to USPS and was able to get the front and back copy of the submitted money order. Which I then sent back in another email to KCCDV, which they responded to with a generic email. Do you think I should continue to reach out to KCC for the receipt or the document from USPS that shows the front copy of the cashed money order can suffice as my proof of payment if USCIS asks?
2. Also it's been 67 days since the last update after Biometrics and I am at the Kansas City MO FO. When do you think it would be good to reach out to the congress man's office ?

1. (a) When was the MO order cashed? (b) Did you include a SASE with the payment? I recommend you keep reaching to KCC for the payment receipt. KCC will not forward your KCC file to your FO if the DV payment has not been made/processed. (c) Which address did you send the payment to?
2. Looking at the Timeline spreadsheet, I see one applicant who sent in their AOS package roughly one month after you did already got approved without an interview - I'm guessing the none inclusion of your DV payment receipt may be responsible for the delay you're currently facing (@vovayoung - can you please confirm if you sent in your AOS package with the DV payment receipt). Seeing as you filed since December, you can initiate a congressional case follow-up inquiry/assistance at this point.

The MO were sent in the week of 09/13/2022 & cashed on 09/19/2022. Yes, I forgot to include the SASE with the payment. I sent the payment to the St Loius address listed on the state department page for AOS. However, I forgot to mention earlier that last week, when i asked the receipt, KCCDV sent me an email saying that the receipt had been emailed to my current address listed on file. I wrote back saying I had not received it but they didn't respond. Thank you.

The receipt was mailed or “emailed” to your current address - clarify which it is please.

S1mom,
Do you know how much tolerance USCIS has for typo errors on a birth certificate submitted as part of AOS application?
In a case where one's name is consistent across all other documents (passports, educational certificates etc} but there is a misspelling on a replacement birth certificate, is there any way around it short of redoing the birth certificate to fix the typos
Thanks

I have no idea. Personally, I would get it corrected, the b/c constitutes a personal record which is expected to contain accurate information.
