DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Okay, if the wrong dates correspond, it means you submitted the I-485 with the wrong date. The error originated from you, that is a no brainer in that case. Next question, which FO has jurisdiction over your case?
Newark and the interview will be end of this month. The FO called me and asked me not to bring the kids to the interview. Also, I informed him over the phone about the issue with the date of birth. He did not comment or react to it over the phone.

If you already have your interview scheduled, you can update the DOB when you go in that case. Make sure you go with all of your children's original documents (including copies of their birth certificates since the IO already asked you to not bring the kids themselves). Remember to point out to the IO the error on the NOA, and request to update it/or confirm the update you made at the bio appointment got carried through and he is able to see the correct DOB on his screen.

p.s. consider adding your timeline to the Timeline spreadsheet. It will benefit others, same way you've benefited from this forum.

Hello mom, one of my kids is 3.5 years old, Kindly please let me know if I will register her name in a kindergarten where it wont charge low income families because of I am self fund and can not afford kindergarten fee, in this case is it considered as public charge? May this condition put my application for having green card at risk?

Thank you

No risk to your AOS application.

for me, it took about 4 months to receive for half of my family then the other half came 2 months after. im also based in Asia from iraq. i wish you the best of luck.
Is your case number current? 6 months for receiving payment letter from KCC is too much

Hello, I received my biometrics schedule today and the appointment is 04/21/23. In the timeline sheet I see some people have gone for walk-ins and do it in an earlier date. Can someone explain why is that?
I am planning to go at the date they have scheduled but what does a walk-in change? Does it speed up the process?

In cases where you have higher chance of a prolonged background check it helps your case be adjudicated before the deadline. As we still have some time till September 30th, it is less likely that 11 days make a difference in your case. However, AFAIR in my case, I did a walk in late July for a mid August appointment, and my background check was cleared mid September. So having done my bio ~2 weeks earlier than the appointment made a huge difference. And that was mid Covid, with a large of backlog of pending cases.

Thank you for your response. It definitely helps to know

Hello @Sm1smom, I finally received the IL with the interview date. Both my wife and I have applied for AOS (with me being the selectee and her being the dependent), we received only one letter with both of our names in the recipient box, does this mean we will have the interview together at the same time?

Thank you in advance
N.

(If I may mom,) This happens every now and then. Both of you should attend the interview.

P.S. When did you receive the letter? Maybe your wife's letter is in transit.

If I may ask, did you take any action while waiting, or did you wait that long to get the IL?

Hello Mbsambo, actually, under advice of Mom, I contacted my congressional rep more than a month ago, but never had response the first time. Then I send another letter to the rep last week, I doubt they received it. So In other words I took action but the letter arrived without the help of congressional rep. It looks like Queens FO may have a slow processing rate or also, one possibility in that FO Queens may aggregates AOS applications before sending IL (that would explain the delay for the low case number applicants)

I can see in the timelines that Baileysmom_42 (heatherc_42), who was also waiting, got an IL with the same date as you, so it really looks like Queens FO is batching ASOs Cases.

I had my bio appointment last week ( walk-in), so I'm relatively fresh, but fingers crossed that I won't wait a couple of months to get an IL... (Live agent confirmed that my case is in Queens FO now)

Fingers crossed for your case/Interview.
