DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hello Simum,
We received Green card three of us, me, husband and younger daughter but didn’t receive older daughter’s card. Her status is also not changed to card being produced, card send in mail or finger print received. However, we do received her 485 approval letter. What might be happen? Do we get her card? How long might they take and we need to wait? if not we need to contact USCIS rt?
The GC will also eventually show up considering you already received her approval letter.

Proof of legal status as of the time I submitted the application. I believe they lost my I20s or something. So they requested for my I20s and I94.
How about you.
Kindly let me know of any update.
Hmmn no, I do not believe you got the RFE because they lost your I20s. Your RFE talked about SEVIS indicating you fell out of status as a student prior to your AOS filing.

In response to the RFE, I hope for your sake, you did not merely send back copies of the I20s and I94 you originally sent with your package, but you also obtained a written/documented evidence from your DSO attesting to you not having fallen out of status at any point in time in SEVIS as earlier recommended.

Hi everyone.
I used USPS to send my AOS package on June 5th. and I have not received the NOA yet. When I check the USPS tracking website, I see the package is delivered to this address (quoted from USPS):
Your item has been delivered and is available at a PO Box at 5:59 pm on June 7, 2023 in DALLAS, TX 75260.

Which is different from what I had written on the package (the Dallas lockbox address:
USCIS, Attn: AOS, P.O. Box 650288, Dallas, TX 75265-0288).

Can I ask if you @Sm1smom or anyone else has seen something similar? I do not know what I should do.
Thanks

The delivery is correct.

Yeah, right. I requested the written document from my DSO, but she was emphasizing what was written on the RFE that I should submit all I20s ever issued to me and the I-94. I added my transcript, I-20 with OPT requested, and proof of classes enrolled for the spring semester of 2023 (RFE says I graduated either in the fall or Spring of 2022, which wasn't right). But on the cover letter, I stated that I met with my DSO. I don't know how relevant that would be.

I guess you’ll just have to wait and see at this point in that case.

Hi @Sm1smom,

1. I'm filling out the I-485 Form and I don't have enough space in Part 3 - Address History. I know that if I need extra space to provide any additional information I have to use Part 14, but what should I put as Item Number after Page 5 Part 3? Following the Sample I should put 11, but the number 11 in the form is in the Employment History section... I'm confused
2. Also, in the Part 14 the legend says to type or print your name and sign at the top of each sheet, and sign and date each sheet. I think I have to write last name and first name in 1.a. and 1.b., but where should I put my signature and date? Top or bottom, left or right side of the sheet? Because there are no cells specifically for that.

Thank you for your help!

1. Writing Page and Part numbers alone is enough, they are able to figure out that is supposed to be continuation of your address history.
2. Instructions says to type or print your name and A# (if applicable) at the top of each page of the extra sheet you’re using. I don’t know the legend you’re referencing which says to sign and date the extra sheet.

1. Okay, thanks!
2. So I have to type my name in 1.a. and 1.b.? For the legend to which I refer, please see the attachment:

1a, 1b, 1c - Family Name, First Name, Middle Name.
You can sign and date top section of the sheet (use your discretion as to left side or right side).

I also have a question about Part 8 Public charge n. 64:
In the total value of my household assets, should I sum the amount of my US bank account and the bank account I have in my country (including life insurance) or do I have to put only the US checking accounts amounts? In the first case, should I include the US and my country bank statements in the AOS package?

Thanks!

Is your life insurance set up in such a way that you can withdraw from to help sustain you if you suddenly fall on hard times? I personally wouldn’t list a life insurance as an asset for immigration purpose for that reason. You can list whatever you feel will could help you overcome the public charge perception as long as you have the required documents to back up whatever you’ve listed. So my summarized response to your questions is to use your discretion.
