DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

So basically the app (by a private 3rd party) sends the same information which gets sent directly by USCIS when one creates an online account with USCIS using the below link: (as an applicant, I would rather create a USCIS account and obtain update alerts directly than through a 3rd party app)

I have an account with USCIS but never received update emails. That's why I have signed up for that app.

You indicated how you wished to receive status updates by providing text/email information when you created the account? And you did not get notified by USCIS when your case status changed to CPO?

Yes, I have requested email updates. There were no problems getting updates for my OPT case 2 years ago but this time I have not received anything. This problem may be specific to me only.

That is quite interesting. Or maybe not sending update notifications is a new practice. AFAIK, creating an account upon the NOA receipt (following Lockbox acceptance) ensures case update notifications automatically get sent by text or email (depending on the selected method). So when updates such as "Case was Updated to Show Fingerprints were taken", or "New card is being produced" gets added, the system automatically sends out notifications about the updates.
 
hello, hope youre doing good. the VP relased numbers for june...and im AS21xx, The board for me was not updated.. so i'm still waiting. should i be worried? i also talked to a lawyer, he said keep waiting but just make sure that it doesnt go current... im confused on what current means and how that even works, can you expain please? does it mean that i will still be able to submit AOS if im AS21xx and the Vp is showing AS18xx?
 
Hi mom, received a text update from USCIS telling me my case was received, detailing a receipt number, and stating that an official receipt notice (I-797C) is to follow in the mail. Does this mean the my application was accepted at lockbox ? Just checking because I filed early (also know this doesn't necessarily mean it couldn't be denied by FO).
 
Hi mom, I am currently under F1 which indicates "clearance received" on the visa. Will I go through another background check (or AP) with my AOS?

PS: I just went for my biometrics
 
Looking at the timeline spreadsheet, it appears AOS for DVLottery has just paused ? Anyone else observing this ? Do we have a template letter for our local congressperson to help out ?

I’m sorry I cannot continue to repeat myself over and over again with regards to what it means if the VB goes current. Refer to previous responses provided to you here and here. Or maybe someone in this forum else can also explain it to you.

Hmmn, no. Your observation indicates you don’t know how to interpret the data you’re seeing on the spreadsheet. DV based AOS is not paused.

That information is irrelevant to the AOS process. You will undergo a fresh background check which may lead to AP depending on what the background check reveals.

1. So there's no chance I could skip the background check as my visa indicates I was subjected to it?
2. Does FO/case status indicate if one is under background check/ AP?

I am filling now my I-485 form and have question about this part " 1681457916402.png and 1681457943626.png should i mention yes .. because i get two traffic ticket for speed limit but i already paid it online at same time and attend school so should i answer yes and write my explanation in scetion 14 and should i write the reason why i have break the speed limit or just explanation

It’ll be 60 days tmr since I had my bio appointment, and I still have no response for the interview. My FO is Portland, OR. Do you think it’s time to contact the congressman and ask for their help at this point ?
