DV 2023 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Sorry. Yes I repeated the same question with different name cause I thought i didn’t get the answer . Someone said you should unlock the ds260 and make some corrections on option that says( have you used other names)
You mean more like because you didn’t get the reassuring answer you hoped to get, you decided to post it again hoping someone will say something else. Anyway IMO, regardless of if you unlock the form and list the double name in the other name section or not, the response is still the same as previously provided here in this post when you first asked the question.

The February number for Oceania is 1200. Do you think for March it will jump to 1300 or is it more likely go up in smaller increment numbers? I realize you can't predict anything but I thought you might have some idea since you have been monitoring/studying the numbers over the years? It seems it is high already? Or is this normal??

bonjour, mon inquiétude est que, mon case number est 2023AF794* mais depuis j’ai pas toujours reçu le 2Nl, mon DS a été remplit debut septembre donc 4 mois deja sans suite, devrai-je vraiment m’inquiété?

I have no idea, I haven’t been studying VB progression over the years.

Dear all.

My niece was selected from Iran. Her case number is around 4800.

She was pregnant at the time and upon my advice, held onto submitting their forms until their baby was born.

They submitted their forms in late September.

Now she's telling me the strangest thing that they are calling selectees for consular processing based on the date of the submission rather than the case number.

How accurate is this? Given that already four months have passed since their submission, wouldn't that give enough time for their number to be called for interview upon becoming current?

Is there a phone number here in the US to call and inquire about the reason for the hold up?

I'm concerned they may never be called for interview or may not be processed completely before the fiscal year is over.

I appreciate all the insight you may be able to offer. Very much appreciated!

Interview gets scheduled based on CN becoming current + DS submission date + embassy capacity. KCC process the DS260 in the order received, because she submitted her form in September, it will take a while to get to her form since thousands of forms were received before hers, even though she has a lower CN. Having said that, it is important to clarify the fact that folks with higher CN whose DS260 forms have already been processed are not getting scheduled for their interview if their CNs are not yet current. There’s no phone number to call, your niece just needs to remain patient.

IMHO, you just have to be patient, very patient unfortunately. I know it's frustrating. If I can share with you my example from DV 2022; my relative submitted DS260 in late September 2021 for the AF region. Following several enquiries (every 2 weeks), they finally received a response that their DS260 was processed around the first week of June (which means, their DS260 could have been completed processing mid- to end of May 2022) :(

If this was not an extreme outlier, you have to be very patient...unfortunately. I am no expert about this, but I think there will still be time to get a visa.

Hi
I am scheduled for February interview, I have done all the registration but after I have registered and submitted the appointment registration I realized that I forgot surname of my spouse, could that bring an issue, or it just I minor mistake?

it s interesting because I saw some people that submitted in late september and their ds260 has been verified in late january, but as you said, it really depends.

hello, I hope to find you in good health. I come from BURKINA FASO I have already received my second letter and there are certain things that worry me:.
1) when I go to the official travel.state.gov website at the embassy of my country Burkina, I do not see the part where it is a question of registering your appointment, is this normal??
2) or just that it means that in Burkina we do not record his interview.??
3) Also on this same site the address of the doctors approved by the USA for the other countries is there on the other hand for Burkina no, what should i??
thank you for answering me good evening to all

Hello everyone, I'm EU26### who currently living in New Zealand, and have 1 oversea policy certification issue seeking advise
I have lived in Scotland for 13 months in the past 5 years, so I must obtain police certification for a no-criminal record. However, I'm not sure how this work, do I just bring the policy document when I participate in the interview? Or they will send it to the Auckland embassy directly? Will they accept the electrical version document?(shipping document from UK to NZ is kinda risky and easy to lost)

Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I am not sure if I am using the right thread but I've got a question regarding the physical SSN and Green Cards,

It's been 3 weeks once came to the United States and I have just noticed that the ZIP code on my USCIS account was entered wrong by the CBP officer when I was crossing the border. To check on my SSN I understand that I have to visit the Social Security Administration in order to clear things out and check the status. But what about the green cards? Is there any organization that I can pay a visit to and inquire about the status and so?

P.S. I would have tried to redirect the mail by registering the USPS account but unfortunately, I don't have a physical address yet, so the documents were supposed to be delivered to my friend's address.

1&2. Yes, that is quite normal. Not all embassies require appointment registration being scheduled for the interview. I suggest you familiarize yourself and focus on the information provided by your embassy - your official source of truth:

3. That is because your embassy require you to email them for further instructions on how to go about contacting an approved PP in your country:
Medical Exam Instructions
All immigrant visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination prior to the issuance of a visa. Only a physician accredited by the U.S. Embassy can perform this exam. It is your responsibility to schedule a medical exam with the doctor listed below before your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy. Medical examination results from other physicians will not be accepted.
Please contact OuagaIV@state.gov for more information about contacting an approved panel physician.

Most embassies require the applicant to bring the PCC along to the interview. Your embassy on the other hand, requires the applicant to bring their documents (in person) a week before the scheduled interview date. That means you're required to bring all of your applicable PCC in person, not mailed to the embassy.

Please use the list below to determine the items that every applicant must provide to the consulate PRIOR to the immigrant visa interview. Bring your documents to the consulate the week before your interview any time between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon Monday through Friday, except public holidays. Place them in an envelope with your case number and full name on the outside and addressed to “Immigrant Visa Unit.” Any documents that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation:

You can call the USCIS number to report about the incorrect zip code. 1 (800) 375-5283.
Note: getting a live person on the above number can be quite difficult. You however can try saying "INFOPASS" a couple of times whenever the system asks about how can I help you or something to that effect, it will eventually connect you to a live person.
