DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

As per the spreadsheet timeline, the Philadelphia field office seems to send interview letters within a few days after the biometrics letter, but for me, it has been a month and a half since I did my biometrics, and there is no update regarding my interview yet. I was wondering if it is a good time to initiate a congressional inquiry?
Wouldn't be a bad idea to do so.

Hi! Long time lurker here - just wanted to share a quick update for anyone waiting for their interview to be scheduled at the Los Angeles FO. I got a notification today that my interview has been scheduled! Checking through EMMA, it looks like my wife and I will be doing our interview on 7/27.

This was after I did my biometrics early (originally scheduled for today on 6/29, but I did a walk in on 6/13). I was worried for a while that the LA FO was going to take a while based on the spreadsheet, but it seems like they were just batching them all for later in the calendar - and now things seem to be moving along faster.
Great news and good luck. Wuold you mind giving some information about your biometrics walk in. Where in Los Angeles did you do it and do you have any advice about it? Thanks!

I did my bio walk in at the Wilshire location, they seemed a little surprised to have someone walk in although there are a lot of yelp reviews of people doing walk ins and I'm sure many forum members over the years. The staff couldn't decide whether a walk in would be allowed but they all agreed they had to ask the supervisor who was in a meeting, so I sat around for a while (this was a Monday around 2:15). It was empty when I got there but by the time the supervisor came out a little before 3 about 20 people had come in with appointments. The supervisor was very nice and told me I could come back 8am the next morning, which I did and I was out in 30 or so minutes then. I think it's a relatively busy location, I'd suggest going in later in the week or having proof as to why you can't make your actual appointment!

I did my biometrics walk-in at the Wilshire location. After reading a few posts online about the best time to go, I ended up going mid-week around lunchtime - hoping that it would be a quieter time to visit. My wife and I showed up on a Wednesday at 12 pm and the place was completely empty. The staff there did ask why we were a few weeks early, and we mentioned that we would be out of town on a work trip. We were fully prepared for them to ask for proof of this, but they accepted this explanation and let us on through. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly - and all in all, the whole process took about 15 minutes!

I'm glad it ultimately worked out!

i could save it! now my case status shows "Card Was Returned To USCIS". i think i should contact them so that they won't produce a new one right?
They will not produce a new one, whether you contact them or not. However you need to let them know the card was returned as undeliverable, in which case they will need to re-send it back to you. This may take a while before it gets sent back, so be prepared for another round of not so fun, nail biting process with USCIS.

By “I could save it”, I thought the poster meant they had been able to recover the green card at usps before it got sent back?

Hi mom , just an update my husband ( username GOMAJ ) has received his IL today. The interview scheduled for July 27th at brooklyn field office . As far as I know me and our children should receive separate appointment letters , right ?
In case we didn't not receive any till the interview day ( which probably will be the case cuz we have moved recently and have updated our address and received a confirmation email from USCIS, my husband IL went to the old address) should we all attend the interview with my husband ? and do we have to inform the field office in advance ?
Thanks in advance .

Hi! We contacted KCC regarding if our FO asked for the visa. Response below, is it generic?
Thank you for your inquiry.

Please direct your inquiry to the Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) at 1-800-375-5283 or visit https://uscis.gov.

In order for the Kentucky Consular Center to assist with inquiries regarding a specific Diversity Visa (DV) case, you must provide the Principal Applicant's full name, complete case number, and date of birth in the following format (MMDDYYYY) as entered on the original entry. Please remember that the Kentucky Consular Center does not have the authority to tell you whether or not your specific case will be disqualified. Only a consular officer can do that at the time of your visa interview. Do not send any paper documents to the Kentucky Consular Center. Yeah, I must confess OP's post was a bit confusing for me. I interpreted the first part like you did. However the "now my case status shows "Card Was Returned To USCIS" part of the post made me assume OP meant to write I "couldn't" save it - anyway, let's hope the OP returns to clarify what they mean.

Some FOs send out individual ILs, some send out just one (which may or may not list the derivatives). Nonetheless, you and your children should plan on attending the interview with your husband (I'm assuming you all filed together at the same time). No need to inform the FO in advance, the IO most like will have all the files in their office when you guys show up.

p.s. you/your husband is fortunate to be able to access the IL from the old address. USCIS's systems are not well integrated like one would assume. They tend to send notifications to the address listed on the I-485 when it was filed, regardless of if an address update was submitted or not.

I honestly wasn't going to respond to your posts about the follow-up efforts you've been engaging in these past couple of days. But I feel sorry for you, as I believe you'll either drive yourself crazy or wear yourself down with worry if you don't take a break and try and focus on something else for now. Two weeks ago, I pointed out two facts: (1) your FO and the IO are familiar with DV based AOS applications based on the two previous cases they already approved (which means they are aware the KCC file is required in order to approve your case, and there's really no need IMO be trying to find out if they already requested the KCC file or not); and (2) there is another case interviewed shortly after you who is equally waiting to be approved (which means unless that case gets approved while yours is still pending, I see no reasons to be running from pillar to post at this point). Just my two cents!

Thank you very much mom . Appreciate it!
Yes we all filled at the same time .
Thanks again for your help

I thought USCIS updated that from the prior notification of non delivery they got from usps. Does usps let uscis know the card has actually been delivered in a case like this, do you know?
