Thanks for your data of 30th may 02.
Looks like there are lot of approvals for this date and abt 10 are from 2003.
The numbers really look good for 30th may 02 compared to my SRC, 17th may02.
25% approved & 47% received v/s 8% approved & 70% received.
Hope we get Fp notices soon.

PD - 12/99
ND - 17th may 02
No FP.

Any trend?

Guys
Are y people able to see any trend in BCIS's behaviour?
As it looks, they are doing 01 and 02 together. Or in other words they are not doing none.

SRC02-185

I have found a lot of replicated items in SRC02-185 ( that is why
I am skeptical about the result without the Excel Sheet). This can happen very easily when we cut and paste. Maybe somebody can add some macro to avoid the replication.

After deleting the obsolates, the statistics changed a little bit. Therefore, I am posting the new Excel Sheet. I am also adding
ModifiedScan for h12gc's future use.

Another thing is that the MakeChart macro does not take a case "Rejected" into the statistic count. I am not expert of VB, can somebody do this?

Updated List

Hello All,

Here is the updated list.
vili, may01 & other members could you provide the ND for your SRC numbers.

Looking at the average no of cases / day one memeber could easily do about 3 SRC numbers per day. (after all the SRC nubers have been collected).

Please continue to post your results.
Also please rename your excel files to reflect the SRC numbers.

Comments about the results SRC01-135 and SRC02-135

The results of two days which are separated by one year are interesting because we can follow the time changes of TSC processing. They can represent, although very coarsely two years.

It is possible to see the following obvious things:

1. The processing in 2002 is much intensive than in 2003.
2. There is a period when the activity at TSC was very quiet.
3. There is a wave of approval in 2002 following a wave of FP
4. There is a wave of FP's in 2003.

The followings are not obvious and must be checked:
1. Does 2003 follow the 2002 pattern to have a wave of approvals following the FP wave?
2. Is the activity at TSC improved recently? I calculate the percentage of processing based on the number of touched files ( if any update occurs). Of coursed the processed files ( approved, transferred, rejected) cannot be touched again. I calculate the percentage only with untouched files. The result is not bad, the files in 01 and 02 are touched with 40% and 37.4%. Almost the same rate. In fact, 01 files are touched to be approved, 02 files are touched mostly for FP. That's OK because 01 are more matured. However, TSC as a whole does work on I-485.
3. It is not correct to compared the number approved files in 2002 with those in 2003 as a lot of files have been approved already. We must calculate the percentage with untouched files.
That can be done only approximately based on few heuristic assumption.

If I have more time I will try explore more on the obtained data.

The conclusions will become more exact after we have more data and have all the monthly samples. Maybe we should focus on the data first, instead of implying based on yearly samples.

VZexemp: Please complete your day data if you can.
Now I can run the macro for another day. Let us organize a little bit about the work division to see which months are still missing and which day data is not completed.

Advait: If you visit us, can you write something about sharing data with us?

Interesting data

I ran the script for SRC-02-032-53000 to SRC-02-032-54000 yesterday night, interesting observation is that there are about 31 cases all of them having a received status with a RD of 11/08/01!!

I will upload the Excel spreadsheet later but here are the statistics,

Approved/Completed Count 43
Misc Count 1
Received count 31
Resumed/FP recvd Count 29
RFE Sent Count 1
Transferred Count 9

Grand Count 114

Please collect the info, if somebody has posted the result.
Also if somebody does not have the complete data. Did you and Vettipult post the results?

I plan the next step is the quarterly samples ( before going to monthly one).

To do so we need data in June 01, December 01 and June 02
December 02 . I believe we have Sep 01 ( eb2_I485) , March 01 and 02 already. I may take June 02, who can take more?

ALL

I am collecting all the files and consolidating them. I will uplaod it when we have substancial data.

The next date I will scan is src01-210.

vili I ran 1000 more cases today and got locked out. Have to run 499 cases more for Aug 20, 2001. So far 335 cases. 138 approved. 6 cases approved during 2003.

I am also running June 18, 2001 (src01-200) and May 11, 2001 (src01-170). So I can provide you with June 01 data.

eb2_I485_RD0901 you can add my name for June 18 and May 11,2001 also.

Hopefully I can provide the file on Monday.

More volunteers needed

vili do you think we need someone looking at March, April 2001?? I am sure those cases are going to be adjudicated first. It will be nice if someone can track them also just to find out if the cases hereon are being adjudicated sequentially or not. What do u think?

Vetti, Villi, right now I am trying to complete the file for SRC02-096.
I will also start looking for the period Mar-Apri 01 or before.
SRC01-100 . Let's see anyone has got data from that date range in the other forum too.
