Hi,

I think I am done. I found out that August 25th 2001 is a Saturday (I don't know how did BCIS give Saturday as my ND) and there are only 84 I-485 cases on that day.
I got a range of
SRC-1-253-50xxx-50xxx

For all other ranges (51xxx- 59xxx) , it denies me access because of too many invalid inquiries.

Find the list updated excel sheet.

I can start with another date say August 28 and do it again.

485 SRC 02-074, 03Jan2002

Villi and all,

Here is the excel file for Jan. 03, 2002 which I didn't attched for the last posting.

Thank you all for the great efforts.

EB2

As Eb2 had suggested, each of us should add their excelsheet to the consolidated one and add a version number to it.
Here is version 3, where I have included sheets for SRC02-096 & SRC01-176 & updated summary & deletd my name from SRC01-248 ( as I passed the data I had to vettipuls) .

Others please follow.

EB2, I too couldn't figure out a way to have the approvals calculated in the summary in any better way. In fact I tried to include for my dates, but was unsuccesful.

The excel sheets have been updated and renamed as version 4.

update of the available info.

Using the modifiedscan, I run a update on 01-050, and 01-248 from the consolidated data, and this is what I found:

SRC0105051071: ND: DEC. 6, 00, was approved on July 8, 03
meaning: TSC is proving DEC. 00 case.

SRC0124851312 and SRC0124851266 were changed to mail directly from resumed on 1/2/2002.
Meaning: TSC is re-issuing FP notice for expired ones.

I think these updated info. are what we are looking for by getting all those base info. because the pattern of TSC processing is what we are aiming for, right?

Let's keep the data updated and also put a date on any data we collect, so we know how current the data is.

TSC published date of I-485 processing always advances by a month. But the date remains same for quite sometime (some months)

Does anyone know so far how many months TSC take to advance the published date of I-485 processing (currently December 2000)?

Too long to be remembered. But I think it was stuck at 11/00 for about 6 months or so.

Data Consolidation

Hi,

I think it was good idea of eb2 to provide a file for us to consolidate data. But I don't think it is a good idea to post any additional new results in that file. We will up and down load replicated data all the time, wasting bandwidth and storage.

I think it would be good to post only individual sheet and we can store it in eb2's file or any local format. Later on, any individual might want to consolidate the data according to his/her own idea.

At the moment, I have two different ideas to consolidate data:

1. Monthly: in each monthly file I have different sheets for different days and also a sheet that has all the collected data.
Thus we can run, ModifiedScan for days or for the month
2. Yearly: collects all the data in one year in one sheet ( 1000 items in each). So we can run update regularly to see the overall activities at TSC.

Thank you all for the efforts. I am looking to seeing the missing months' data and full day data.

Data Consolidation Centralized / Distributed ??

Vili and All Members,

I read vili's suggestions about the bandwidh , duplicacy, upload & Download issues ; I agree with this but when this thread was started the "VISION" was to get all the data in a "one-stop-shop" thus the name "DATA CONSOLIDATION PROJECT".

Let us take this issues and try to come to a common uderstanding:

1) Bandwith : I checked that if the consolidated file is ZIPPED then the file size reduces from about 400KB to 39KB. SO for those members who use dial up it will be reasonable as well.
So the file should be posted as a ZIP file only.

2)Storage / Server Space: I think these days the Secondary Storage is very cheap e.g a 120GB HD is about $100 only. I think all members are thankful to the "Law office of Rajiv Khanna" for hosting this portal and let us share issues. ALso the admin's can archive old threads. Also if we compare with California Forum (12000 threads) and Vermont has 29000 threads , TSC has 6000 threads -> we are far behind.

3) Individual vs Consolidated Posts: Each Member is at will to choose his/her method of data post. If a post is individual data then somebody has to keep track and update a consolidated file.
=> if new or other members download the individual files it would be of no use to them. ( Hey the idea is to get a MACRO picture of TSC). Also if somebody visits this thread after a couple of days he/she can just go to the LAST post and get the latest file.

4) Yearly & Monthly files: In this case it once again puts a burden on an individual (or a small group) to do this. If everybody kepps updating the consolidated file and adding more sheets the "SUMMARY" sheet will at once give a MACRO picture of TSC.

Guys once again the "FOCUS" of this thread was DATA CONSOLIDATION and I think we should try to achive this target.
The idea is to empower everybody with the data and then each indivdual can draw there own conclusions.

What do you guys think would be best for all ?

Any trend emerging?

Guys

Are you able to see any trend in this process of consolidation?

Main questions to be answered are

a) What is the actual break date/ week/ month for the approvals?
b) What is the actual speed of approvals?
c) Is there any speed of approvals, Is there any movement?

If nothing is coming out of these excercises, May be rolling thumb is the best thing to do. Other centers are systematic and have a known speed of approvals. Above said excercise means some thing for them.

I believe it does not mean any thing for TSC.

I am sorry guys, lots of hard work has been put in to this and will like to thank every one for this, but I am very frustrated with the progress of TSC. I am also frustrated that, I/ We can not do any thing to improve situation.

God help us.

update of information

I think updating of our information is what we need to focus.
As may01 said, there is no break date/month for TSC, however, with the infomation we have, if we update them everyday, we can at least have some idea on what TSC is doing yesterday and today, and these information means more to us than what TSC has done for the past year or two.

Again, let 's put a date on any info we collect and work on the update more often. The prediction of future TSC behavior is what we are looking for here, right?

my two cents

Re: Any trend emerging?

Fiddx & may01

As eb2_I485 pointed out, this thread is just for Data Consolidation. Few people may not be interested in data interpretation. Maybe we can open new thread.

To "calculate" the speed of approvals ( actually the speed of
I485 processing) at TSC, I agree with fiddx that we should do updates frequently. However, it is not meaningful to do it on a specific day.

As our data now is about 3% of the total cases, I don't know whether it can sample the TSC in a good approximation. Hopefully we can reach 5-10% soon.

The way to calculate the total processing speed is to put all the items into one big file and run ModifiedScan on it for instance two weekly. The updates will be as percent of the remaining total.
We can see the approval speed.

Up to now I tried to calculate the monthly processing speed, to see whether there is any different between months. I don't find big difference between the months. It seems to me that weekly processing is around 1% in 2003.

Recently, there is definitely some amount of activity at TSC.
