Consolidated NSC I-485 Tracker

NSC processing I-485 2 months my filled date, Priority DT current , Need Help???

GURUS, My I-140 was finally approved on March 17, 2007. As of today Nebraska USCIS is processing I-485 cases filled on August 2006. But My both I-140/I-485 were filled concurantly in NSC in June 2006. However, My I-140 was only approved in March 17, 2007 after sending RFE response in March 8, 2007 ( SEE details below).

Any ideas, how long would it take NSC to process and provide their decision for my I-485 now that my I-140 is approved and they are suppose to be processing my I-485 (since according their chart) they are processing I-485 cases which were filled almost 45 days after mine. Is there any way to know that my required FBI security check for I-485 is cleared or NOT ? Your feedback will be greatly apprcieted.

Since your I-485 Receipt date is earlier than the current processing time, you can ask for a service request (described often here already) on which you will be given the status of your case. In all likelihood, name check has been submitted (around time of FP), so if the service request merely says "processing continues" you are probably cleared name check:) . If it says they are doing 'background checks' and contact again in six months, then you are probably stuck.

In either case, you could get an INFOPASS interview, where you may or may not get more info about your case, depending on the office, the mood of the clerk, and the phase of the moon.

RFE for marriage certificate

Hi friends,

Two weeks back my wife got an RFE for marriage certificate.
We had submitted a document titled "marriage agreement" in stamp paper that was signed by me and my wife infront of marriage registrar. We do not have any other document.

After receiving the RFE, we applied for marriage certificate from Indian Consulate. We got a marriage certificate from Consulate. The certificate provided by Indian Consulate in very simple and it only states:

" Certified that as per entries made in Indian passport AXXXXXXXX,
Mr. X and Mrs. Y are Husband and wife" .

Will USCIS accept the a marriage certificate from Indian Consulate?
Has anyone faced similar situation?

Any feedback is appreciated.

thanks

I read someone's posting on this board giving a time frame of 4-10 weeks after name check clearance ( assuming all other things are in place)

When was your name check cleared ?

it takes around 3 weeks for the namecheck to reach the uscis. so u can expect an approval anytime after that.

My name check and FP were cleard already, per USCIS officer. I had INFO PASS appointment. Do you have any idea how long do I need to wait.
thanks

Did you schedule infopass for the purpose of verifying name check status? I’ve been reading on the board that if your case in within processing time infopass is a wast of time. Officer won’t give you an update.

URGENT PLEASE HELP, I-485 transfered to St.Paul from NSC

I got a notice from NSC saying that my I-485 application has been transfered to St.Paul/Minneapolis USCIS office for processing.
I assume there is good amount of chances that I may get Interview call for my I-485 from St.Paul/Minneapolis USCIS office. This is really shocking to me as I have No criminal/police record of any kind, I have been in U.S Legally so far.

Is it Normal for NSC to transfer I-485 cases to local USCIS office ? Does this mean there is something wrong and Interview
is expected? Gurus, Please help.

Can somebody share their I-485 interview expereince in St.Paul/Minneapolis office and what was the result of
your I-485 after the interview.

Please note that I am from NON-Retrogessed Country, my I-140 was approved in March 17, 2007 and I had filled I-485 on
June 23, 2006 and NSC was suppose to be processing cases filled on Aug 10, 2006 and St.Paul/Minneapolis USCIS office
is suppose to be processing cases filled on Sep 13, 2007 ( as of March 15, 2007 available at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp;jsessionid=caRiKrTeY2ye )

Many of the cases i hurd of this week (i-485) are been transfered to local offices

On March 14, 2007 my spouse case (I-485) has been transferred to Vermont Service center from Nebraska SErvice center. Last week i got the transfer notice saying that to speed up the processing of the petition it has been transferred. Do not know what is going on?

that is Bi-specialization as long as i know

But what is weird is that many cases were transfered to Local offices, yours were transfered to Service center under bi specialization to speed up well that is if you are not stuck on name check

I had info pass last friday. I realize that you can ask anything what ever you want to ask. they don't care about your filing date.

Another one bites the dust!

I received the response to my service request and the status is given as:

"The processing of your case has been delayed.A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open."

The letter goes on to say that if no response is received within 6 months........please contact......
