Hi Guys!

I am new to this Forum. I do not know what my PD is but the immigration lawyer told me that my application was sent on 10/15/2001. Should I assume this is my PD.

Hi aargee,

Add 3-5 days to your Lawyer's date - if you are not sure of PD. This will give you a rough idea of your PD.

So we have almost one person every month for SESA clearance starting June till Jan. My lawyer says CT SESA has started moving beyond April 2002, but not all April 2001 case is cleared. Hope it will be cleared soon.

It has been long since heard from you folks - is it no news at your end or have you stopped contributing?

Cheer up!!!

Anyway list goes like:

avipin June 2001
Zenman - June 2001
vkml september 2001
aargee Oct 2001
lcman - Nov 25 2001
Winnie33 - Dec 2001
LCForever - RIR Jan/21/2002
Jharkhandi - April 2002
Yeswe - April 2002

Update Oops!!

Hi Jharkhandi,

Last Friday I spoke with my lawyer's assistant--Ofcourse my lawyer was on a vacation.

To my surprise and disappointment, she said my PD is end of July and not June. Also, they have not received any confirmation from the CT DOL on cases which were filed in May.

Unfortunately, I keep on hearing the same story--------DOL is processing cases of April end since last three months.

Hope I could be more useful to the group.

So long from the hanging bat, Zenman

Zenman, it must be heart-breaking to know that dates are a little off from what you were told by your lawyer. Usually it takes sometime to put in ads and start RIR.

All the states' SESA has started moving past April 2001. Keep your fingers crossed. It should not take more then two weeks before CT SESA will start moving. I would rationally put the date around Sept 6, 2002 when dates should change. If still we see no change then I would say something else is going behind scene. ( or that Winnie is right.) :)

By the way where is Yeswe? Come on let us keep this thread alive.

If Yeswe donot bother to visit this thread anymore...maybe, just maybe, it is a good sign:D looking for Yeswe in Boston DOL....

There is a little change to my analysis. I would add three weeks to my analysis. CT SESA normally takes up cases on weekly basis and they move back and forth. As April 30, 2001 was Monday - the case of April 30, 2001 will be in the same lot as that of May first week. So the changes will start in last week of September at the most. However early Sept 2001 will still remain one optimistic date for move. :D

If you want to see how I came to this conclusion, see other SESA threads - it takes a while to really start moving. Mostly just a couple of cases are cleared in first two to three weeks - all of them are from May first week only. After that it only picks up the speed.

Hey Winnie-any idea if Yeswe reached Boston DOL?

Hi Folks,

I had decided to keep off from the thread, as I find it distasteful that not many people are sharing their info.

I have decided to give one more shot - after which I may also become a visitor till I reach an interactive forum. Justified-isn't it?

*******************************************

(Context is LC only for CT SESA in this posting.)

Talked to CT SESA. I was told:

1. For last 12-14 weeks, CT SESA was running short of people. Out of 3 people, who work sometimes 3 and sometimes 4 days a week on Labor cases, only two were working most of the time.

2. One person is going on leave for 2 week for next two weeks. (Should be back by Sept 23, 2002).

3. After Sept 23, 2002 - CT SESA will work with 3 people, so expect the speed to improvise.

4. Employers are still sending cases in non-RIR category, so one person is almost full time dedicated to send/reinstruct employers if cases can be filed in RIR. So if you know somebody applying in CT SESA - please ask to send RIR applications if possible. CT SESA is working only on RIR cases. Also it will save there time in asking for RIR filing. This is also mntioned on CT SESA web-site.

5. With PERM now in play, SWA will not have a say - so they are kind of demoralized and LC timing is being affected.

6. CT SESA is a very small office as compared to other states, so one leave here and one there changes the schedule a lots more. Besides having not a single person dedicated for LC alone, it suffers even more.

7. For some reasons, which they declined to divuldge, CT SESA, was not working on LC for last 3 to 4 weeks. (Perhaps lack of work-force.). Did not say if they are working now or not!

Totally Justified

Hi Jharkhandi,

I understand your feelings about being a oneway messenger. You have been very proactive for a long time and contributed to this thread more than anyone I'd say.

Anyway, if you have decided to withdraw the leadership I wish you all the best and good luck with your endeavors.

I'd hope you drop in a line or two ones in a while.

As always, keeping hopes alive

Arios from Zenman.

Jharkhandi....u'r the MAN.

Since you are the one with the inside track...if you do not participate this thread will die. I urge you to continue ur participation. We all appreciate ur updates. I visit this forum atleast twice a week...if I have any information that I think will help others I will surely post it.

Aargee;)

My Labor has been submitted to CT SESA last week (Sept 2002)..........reading all your posts I think its gonna be quite a while before I can expect things to move.......

any miracles expected from ct labor:)

Hi, Jharkhandi

We all appreciate your efforts...I wish that I have something new to tell...well, obviously, the line is not moving yet...Hopefully, once it moves, it moves fast

Jharkhandi,

I was away on Vacation to India since August 19 and came back today! I must say that you have been the backbone for this forum. Your contribution has resulted in getting more members to this forum. Please continue your good work!!!

Guys!!!

I see that we have more members in this forum now. That is good!! It is true that things are not moving as fast.

Let us hope and pray that we get some good news this month from Zenman and avipin.

Thanks a lot everyone. I am back. Let us all make contributions - even if it is as good as posting a smiley.

:)

Hi Jharkandi,

I have posted two message for this thread, but I don't see my posted message? Why? I got your reply from my email notice. Thanks for leading this thread.
