Actually, I have database created for 256,257,258,259,260,001,002,003,004,005,006, and part of 009. I don't have database for your case, which falls on 008. Its quite tedious and time killing process to create database. It takes atleast one complete day to create the database, watching proxy failures etc for just 1 days database.
Let me know if you or any wants to create the database. Actually, I had posted "steps to create the database using scanner" on this very same thread. Look for my post some where in the begining.

200 papers still pending on these 3 days.Well TSC is not doing any justice to the transfered cases.They have approximately 50% or more papers pending.I have seen in another forum that they have cleared lots of papes filed in the month of mar'06 and apr'06 directly with them. Again an estimate - Apr.29 they had avg. 44 cases in XFered state (based on Arun's data), now this number is ~28 (Arun's, perm_faq, stocks data). From 256 to 120 we have 125 days. So now appr. number of cases in Xferred state is 3500-3700, Apr.29th it was around 5500.
You can make an educated guess how much time it will take to clear remaining cases...

I spoke with my attorney and he mentioned that there is a possibility that the 140 also went to the local service center and they may not have updated the system. All I can say is "Only god knows!!" He said that I can ask them at the interview and if they do not have it, he will raise an inquiry.

Following up on my previous message with more details

Dear All:
I posted my very first post yesterday, and I wanted to follow up with more information.

To recap:
I-140 AD = 5/8/06 (Lawyers received approval notice on 5/16/06. We got a scanned copy of it from them)
I-485 AD = 5/12/06 (received e-mail from USCIS on 5/13 stating that a Welcome notice had been mailed)
on 5/17/06 LUD and e-mails stating case approved (both spouse and self) and that approval letters have been mailed.

Yesterday (5/18/06) we received the welcome letter (which is actually the I-797 notice of action) which states "Welcome to the United States of America". This is to notify you that your application for PR has been approved.It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to permanent resident status in the United States. (has more details about the A# etc)

Yesterday (5/18/06) we also received the actual plastic cards. Mailed from the Texas Service center. (We did not receive any e-mails stating anything about green card has been ordered/sent etc The status on-line still indicates that the case has been approved).They came in unmarked envelopes just like when you receive a credit card. The Card holder (same as credit card holder) is called Form I-797D and on this also, it states "Your Application has been approved. Here is your new card."

We asked our lawyer about the need to carry the GC with us at all times (we had read that it is required). According to our lawyer, we need to be able to provide proof of our permanent residence status. The lawyer's advice is for us to make a good photocopy of the cards, laminate them and carry them in our wallet/purse, and to keep the actual card in a very safe place like a bank safety deposit box. Lawyer also asked us to apply for corrected social security cards (currently our cards state that we can only work with INS authorization.).

Thanks Sihinaya for sharing this information. For you it took 10 months from application to get the green card. I am very happy for you. Enjoy the freedom.

Most of us seem to be taking the scenic route to the green card with not much to see on the way! I just hope that we get there too.

While I know it is a difficult thing to do, try to stay positive. I have my own war stories to tell....I had to file the labor about 4 different times since 2001 because each time I filed, my company was put up for sale and I have been with 4 companies (same group of people, we just got bought out each time) in 4 years and each time, had to resubmit the Labor, and finally, with the 4th, I was able to get it done (just in the nick of time it seems) as there is talk again of putting up our division for sale yet again. Hopefully it will be several months before anything happens.

Yes,today is my turn and my day to announce the approval of 140.The approval mail came in the morning from CRIS,today ironically i didn't check it.Just came home for luch checked the mail came to know about the approval.

This is the great forum without this i dont know how it would have been especially when you have to go through such a horrific time.

What happened to 001 cases? In last 2 weeks it did not move while others progress significantly. This week it has only 1 approval but 4 RFE. Is the officer working on 001 cases are more strict?
