Buffalo Tracker (please add)

Well the problem is that all the papers sent were originals and took quite some time to be collected For example, Police/FBI certificates for me and my spouse, some affidavits etc

So it just delays the whole process and I also don't have any way of confirming that this time when I send them, they will reach the right person. And this is my last chance.......

I will suggest that you call up the immigration at their Toronto number and talk to a rep there and see what they tell you. Generally they guide and advise you correctly. Take it from there.Mention that you will send them the copies of the police reports and the copy of the fee receipt and Fedex number and say that these had been already sent before, confirmed by the check being encashed and receipt, mention that you will need more time if you have to send these around again as 2 months is not enough.

Since there is not too much you can do anyway, I guess this is your best bet.

Wishing you luck!

Hi guys,
I have submitted my application in Oct 01 and received AOR
in Dec 01. But I have not heard anything since then...when can I expect to receive my medicals...?..
Samy

Hi Samy,

Generally the letter stating the file number gives the details of when the next communication is to be received. Earlier Buffalo use to state 34 weeks from receving the file number....dunno what it is now. Check the letter again. Else call up Toronto and ask the rep. They all have a time frame within which they are to give initial assesment on your file.

Best Of luck!

Dependents

Gurus,
Can the dependents land first prior to the principle applicant? Please let me know.. thanks..

Hi Guys,
I currently have US Green Card and I am waiting for my Canadian landing papers. Do they come to know that I already have a US Green Card ? and if they come to know , will they ask me to surrender my US Green Card right away or will they give me time to decide ? Please reply ...
Samy

Oh My God Sammy!

Wonder why you want to be in Canada when you have US GC........ most people want it the other way round! I bet you must be having a good reason!

:D

Raj, did you have more than 70 points without interview ? Is it true that only those people who score less than 70 points w/o interview get called for one ?

Please tell the year! (those did not mention)

Those who did not mention the year, Pls mention the year you applied, otherwise we'd assume you applied the same year you're posting. Good luck folks.

my status:

Applied: Sept. 2001
File # Recieved: Nov. 2001
Status: Still waiting

my information, and a couple of questions

Friends,

I applied in June 2001, received acknowledgement / File # in September '01. Subsequently, Much new information had been requested from us in April: updated FBI clearance certificates - I provided mine, but my wife's took about 90 days because her finger prints were indiscernible. I kept Buffalo posted about the reasons for the delay. Finally on July 30th, we sent in her FBI clearance certificate.

Around May, we received 2 communications - 1 was the medical forms, and the second was a letter saying "at this time we do not feel an interview is needed, though at a later date a consular officer may decide to hold an interview." The letter also requested further information for a 6 month period which was not clarified in my initial application.

Is this a good sign? Once they send you the Medical forms, is it basically through, or are their still hurdles to overcome?

Best wishes and luck to all of you.

capitalist72,

This is definitely a good sign. This means u are almost through. Did you send your ROLF too? If everything goes Okay then u should receive the landing papers in the next 1-2 months.

The only thing that could go wrong or rather delay things a bit is if they are not satisfied with some of the Additional information requested by them and provided by you.

My case is very similar to yours. Except for at the last stage they encashed my ROLF but seem to have misplaced the additional docs I sent them (FBI certi, some affidavits) :( :(

Anyways Good Luck to u.

Thanks, RB2002, your post is very reassuring. I had paid ROLF with my initial application, because it's a refundable amount in any case.

Good luck to you too, friend, -and I hope we meet in Canada.
