raj1008 any idea why they need interview

HI raj1008,
I see that you applied in August 2001 but got interview required in the assesment . Do you know what could be the reason for this ...did you had sufficient points in OLD system ..?
Will you be judged in OLD system OR new system in your interview ....?
SInce your initial assesment is done in OLD system ..logicall your interview should also be done in OLD system even after March 2003...am I correct ?
Please post your view guys ..
 
Got the prilimnary assesment

Hi,

Applied in Sep, got the file number in Nov 01. Got the prelimnary assesment yesterday Sep 3 '02. Have asked for some other documents and medical checkup.
For the medical checkup, has anybody paid from their pockets or their insurance paid for it. Please let me know your experience. Also, just wondering what the next steps are, and when can i expect my landing papers.

When did you apply [date] and what is your AOR date ?
May be Canadians are going back to work again..... I applied in Nov'01 - AOR Jan'02 .... waiting.

Hi lonely_indian

You have to pay from your pocket for the medical. It costs about USD 350-400 per adult and USD100-150 for a child. Also once medical done and u send the additional info & ROLF, then u should
on an average get your landing papers in 3-4 mths.

Problems checking the status

Hi,
I tried checking my staus online, but it says they cant indetify me with the given info. I faxed them about two weeks ago, but no reply. Does anyone else has this problem?, or can any one tell me what does it imply?

asking for additional docs - police reports, medical exams,
assessment of qualifications from canadian council of professional engineers, recent pay stubs, w2 income statements from 2001, certified true copies of experience letter.

i have a question i would be visiting india in next 2-3 months can i delay my medical exams and do them in india, if so how ?

also i do have us educational assessment done for my h1, can i provide the that instead of spending 200?

i would appreciate your responses.

New applicant for canadian immigration

sent application on 04/10/2002..
Got file number on 09/13/2002 by ordinary mail.
Does anybody know why it is taking so much time this year. Also I have less than 75 points (73) .. Should I expect an interview call after the assessment is done?
If not, what should be done to increase my points??
I would appreciate if anybody under similar circumstances responds..
