Did anyone else?

Hi,

Most of you got request for other documents like updated police certificates and/or paystubs etc when you got your medical forms. They did not ask me for anything other than to do the medicals after 6 months and pay RPRF. Does this mean it will take longer or that all the papers are reviewed and they dont need anything more?

I had submitted the paystubs initially with my application and also later sent in the FBI certifcates.

I am just wondering that again now they will ask me for documents rather than request passport :((( ... getting tired of this waiting process.

If anyone can toss in their opinion and/or have a similar situation, please respond.

I dont think they asked an employment letter. Do they need that ? I applied as independent applicant. Why do they need employment letter ? Is this a new rule ?

Also, for medical, can somebody tell me where and who does it ? Can I just go to any doc.

I too was not asked to submit additional info. Just to do the medicals after 6 months and to pay the RPRF.

Hope they won't ask for new documents at this late stage!!!!

As you say, the wait is just getting too long.

For Krishna02,

Along with your medical forms there should be a list of designated medical doctors. You need to go to one of them. If you did not get the list, you can go to the CIC website for this info. The cost varies from Doc to Doc. $250-400 depending on the State etc.
 
Here is an approval of application completed their medical in April, 03. So guys those who completed their medical in April should soon expect to get their passport request for stamping.

I have got a letter from CCG today and was asked to send them our passports to be stamped. I did expect the process would go so fast and smoothly. It seems they are speeding up the process of the applications ( but maybe varies from person to person). Pls. add my time frame into the waiting list.

Krisna02 --> one suggestion on medical, If you have a family, dont go far to save some money. I live in Bay area, went to LA for medical to save couple of hundred, for me,my wife and my brother's wife.
Since my brother's wife delivered a baby few months ago, the doctor mentioned that, and CIC asked to do pep smear and baby's medical again with same doctor..so more money and more driving--ultimately more headache.

Since there was no wait period of 6 month before your medical in your case. They may be waiting to complete your background. The lenght of background check depends on the place where you lived during the last 10 years of your life.

SO be patient. You will hear from them pretty soon.

Absolutely nothing from my end. I'm sure you will hear something soon as your medicals were done in Feb. Hang in there.

I read in another forum that CIC conducts background checks after submitting the medicals.

Have you or anyone heard anything about this???? I hope not.

Got my passport request on 06/19. Will let you guys know when I receive the stamp. Kindly update the tracker.

For a change, I'm quite happy (and impressed) that an immigration body is working so promptly. Let's hope the trend continues and keep our fingers crossed.

Looks like post assessment processing is moving pretty fast now.Congrats to all the new (upcoming) canadian permanent residents.I wish the assessment queue would also move as fast.
