Question regarding my case

Hi Johar Ali,

My application processing started in July 2003 and the interview was waved. We got our medical forms in May 2004.We added our kid and received his medical forms.

I sent all the medicals and the docs back to them in June 2004.

Havent heard from them yet.

I read in this forum that applications filed later than me also got their passport request.

I am wondering why we have not heard from them.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Regards.

Hi All,
I am from India and living in US currently. Before US for about a year I worked in Saudi and I am in the process of collecting PCC to support my Canada Immigration.

Some body discussed in this Forum about Contacting Indian Consulate in Saudi to get a PCC from Saudi. (Thanks for the Post Guys!!! :) :) ).

I immediately contacted the Indian Embassy in Saudi regarding my Saudi PCC Request, in turn they have advised me to contact near by Indian Embassy in US (who will in turn contact the Indian Embassy in Saudi in getting such PCC).
If this Saudi PCC from Indian Consulate in Saudi is acceptable by CIC, it is definitely Great.. Resolves the PCC issue for many People as Saudi doesn't issue PCC for Non Saudi Citizens living in abroad.

Please post your comment and share your experience.

Hi JRFF,

I was the one who had posted it in this forum. You will ultimately get your PCC for Saudi issued by the Indian Embassy in US. Please let me know once you have received it.

What stage are U in right now. Can you post your timeframe?

Does someone has any experience with translations required by Canadian Immigration? I have documents in arabic need to be tranlated and sent to embassy. Does embassy have a list of approved translators which they only accept or any translator is ok.

additional medical tests

My family took medicals end July ( we file Oct 2003 and got waiver). I received a letter from Director medical asking for additional medical information for my son, past test done for that medical issue and current test again from urology/nephrology. The letter is addressed to Physician of my son. Do i have to go thru the Canadian approved GP physician who do the initial medicals or just send in the specialist reports thru my family physician. anyone faced this , appreciate rsponse.

Can not help you with the specific translator but they do require a certified translators. You can try google and see what you get. Good luck

Letter to support your application

Do you guys send a letter to support your canada PR application? Just a format letter including why are you applying, etc. If you do, can you please attach a sample letter.

thanks

powerman you do not need to send a letter with your application. All you need is what they asked for. The only letter oyu need is to support your English/French language abilities if you are not taking test.

I got a letter from the consulate yesterday saying that they have not received the complete medicals.I checked with the doctor where we got our medicals done .

They got back to us saying that their representative in Buffalo forgot to fax one report. He said that he is going to fax those reports.

I applied for caips notes but did not get them yet.

I am wondering how I can confirm that they fax those reports to them.

I will update the developments as and when I come to know.

Thanks.

gc_chk: Sorry to hear that your doc was a dummy. I hope your doc did not switch your record with someone else. Aren't you happy he/she is not performing any surgery on you :). So I guess all you can do is waite for the CAIPS notes. If you are really upset with your doctor, you can ask for a receipt of the fax. It can be confirmed by their phone bill or by printing a fax history from their fax machine. Good luck. The best way is to trust your doc and jsut waite for little longer at stage.

I got the similar type of letter for my wife. There was sealed envolope with the letter asking me to take it to my initial canadian approved physician. I took to his office and lady incharge of immigration medicals gave me the copy the document in the sealed envelop and told us to take it to the doctor who treated my wife to get the reports. I sent all required reports to canadian approved physician and the then created a final report and sent it to Ottawa.

Hope it helps.

GC212,

Thanks for the response. I Took it to my family physician as was not aware. The consulate Approved guy is 200 miles away. anyway good that you told me , now i will approach the approved physician and see if he will send it.

Did they charge you money again ?

He did not charge anything as they didn't do any test. It was just examine the reports and make new report for canadian immigration. My canadian physician is also 3 hours away. But there was no choice. The letter said: TAKE THE SEALED ENVELOPE TO THE PHYSICIAN WHO EXAMINED YOU.

Crazy_Apple,

My time lines were almost same as yours, even I received second letter 1/5/2004, I sent the medicals around final week of Jan 2004. I already landed in Canada. Get CIAP notes and find out what reason is holding your application.

rh2002.

Thanks for the response rh2002. My case was sent to Buffalo/New York immigration office. Was yours sent there too? What does CAPIS notes do? Is this a legal method of knowing what is holding up the file? For the benefit of other forum readers, here is my application information again -

Application Filed: 11/27/2002
eCient Filed Date: 01/13/2003
First Letter Received: 1/20/2003
Second Letter Received (Interview: Waived): 1/9/2004
Medicals Done & Sent: 1/26/2004

If anyone has a similar situation and hasnt yet heard back from the immigration office, please let me know.

Thanks!

Pl reply

I am new to this forum.
I applied in Dec 2003 and received my medicals in july 2004.
i sent the medicals and other documents in aug 2004.
i didn't send any landing fees as it was not asked. when should i send
landing fees?. i have not got any passport request yet.

Thanks

GCNeb123: If you look at the letter very carefully, you will find that they have suggested to send in landing fee. Anyway there is no need to waite for their request for landing fee. If I were you I woul send in the landing fee as soon as possible. Goodluck...

To crazy_apple

Hi,

I am in similar situation. Here is my timeline:

Filed application: 10/2002
Received 1st letter: 11/2002
Received 2nd letter(interview waived): 11/2003
Medical done: 12/2003
Sent other docs: 1/2004
Added new born baby: 5/2004
baby's medical done: 6/2004

Haven't heard from them since. My medical will be expired next month. I guess in order to continue the process, I'll have to redo my medical.

Kothari,
Hang in there. I am in desperate need for that AOR as I have done the IELTS and gathered additional documents and the AOR number is necassary for me to send those documents alongside with the IELTS exam results.

Keep observing this site. There are 24 August cases filed with only 1/3 of them receiving an AOR.

Here is the site

Before I applied in august every body was getting the AOR in one month from application approximately, I applied around august 17th and havent still got it, in a week it will be nearly three months ? is that reasonable or is it just me ? can i do something about it other then realising my frustration by this posting ?

ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Request for Passports

Finally got the request -

Timline -
Applied - Oct'03
AOR - Nov'03
IA - Jun'04 (interview waived)
Medical Jul'04
Req for PP - Nov'04.

I plan to go to Canada in Dec/Jan for a couple of days and then return back.

Thanks,
SSJ
