Help Help Help.. I Was Dumb.. What To Do

Hi Guys

I need help.. Advise on how to proceed now.

Following are my case details

Applied for Immigration in Feb 2003
File Number Received Mar 2003

I moved from Atlanta to Dallas in 2003 March and Immediatly faxed my change of address to the consulate. It took me 2-3 faxes to ensure that the online info had my updated address.

We received letter from Canadian Consulate in April 2004 that assessment has been completed and interview has been waived. The address (Sticker) on the letter was still my old address in Georgia. We had received the letter in a Manila folder with our address handwritten.

The letter says. We need to provide additional documents with 90 days of the date of letter ( Letter is dated Jan 2004 which i just noticed :(( ). We had our medicals done immediatly, like a day after we received the letter and also applied for FBI finger printing immeditaly. We just received the finger print clearance from the FBI.

Only now I noticed that the letter from Consulate was dated Jan 2004, we actually received on April 12th.

What are our options now. Is there a number I can call to explain or should I send a letter or fax a letter.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE advise...

waiting for your advise
thanks

I think you can do all stamps by yourself. The logic is that you can even send all of the passports by mail to get them stamped. They basiclly just want your paperwork no matter who deliver those to them.
Good luck

Thanks for your reply... I agree with your logic.
The letter indicates that incase you have to submit passports personally than you have to visit either on tuesday or thursday and they will try to return the passports on the same day.

Hi Kris,
They will not deny or close your case as long as you send them a letter to explain what happened and finish all required documents as soon as you can. However, this might cause a delay for the whole case processing. I heard about this from a lawyer.
Hope this helps.

Detailed arrangements made for your non-accompanying child.

Two years back I applied for Canada PR. I did not include my child who is US citizen (My friend told me not to as my GC is already in process). I applied for an option to fallback if my GC does not come through.... Please don't mind.

Now I have received the letter from consulate to provide

Any advise?

Well, you got yourself into some big trouble.... They specifically say you need to add the baby to your application.

What to do? I guess I would fax them and BEG them to take your child's application ASAP and issue visa for him/her as well. That's all you can do. Unless you're leaving your child behind (like I've heard some ppl say they do.... inhumane!)

Thanks 462806

Thanks for the input.

From the earlier discussions, I have learnt that one can add dependent later.
Or otherwise IF i get approval, I can file for her as member of family class.

I submitted her medicals too. I think doc took $285 for adults and around $100 for my daughter. I am not sure if they conduct the through test for kids too. Any comments?

Now because there is clause in the application to list all the family member
and to select accompanying and non-accompanying, that means people go for it. I just want to find what is there requirement for non-accompnaying child. I think US citizen can accompany me even without PR. Am i right?

Gurus, Please advise about procedure to add dependents?

CIC contact numbers

Genius.
My assumption is, it does not matter when one lands(sat/sunday or public holiday), it does matter if you plan to apply for SIN at HRDC,as they are closed on those days. When are you planning on Landing?
Thanks
H1bfate

I am planning on landing on next weekend, but planning on staying there on a weekday to get the other formalities completed.

Can anybody give me CIC contact numbers? I need to know whether the landing process can be done on Sat/Sunday?

Friend,
Do I have to be present at the indian consulate in person or I can have my spouse go to the consulate and apply for the Police Certificate [Certificate of good conduct or no record]

Thanks,
TS

Contact the nearest Indian Consulate of the jurisdiction you belong to to get the PCC. Indian Consulates in US do issue PCC's for persons applying for Canadian PR and US PR (CP Candidates)

Call them and ask them the procedures to obtain a Indian PCC for your Canadian PR.

All the best.
