Baltimore transfer at 8/6 (RD 1/16/2002)

EAD from local INS
Hi Gurus,
My 485 has transferred to Baltimore INS December 2004.
5 weeks back applied for my 3rd EAD, sent all documents to Vermont. After 10 days I got a mail that my EAD application moved to local Baltimore INS.
Day before yesterday I got another mail, this time from local Baltimore INS. They asked me come to Local INS, with Previous EAD, Passport or the document used to enter US.
Can some body please give me some advice or suggestions, like why they have called me in person for EAD.

Do not worry, this is standard procedure now for transferred cases. We all applied for EAD also to VSC, spouse in end of July and me and child in mid August, recently spouse received this pink letter to show up for EAD interview with old EAD, pasport. Went there and they took picture (returned pictures submitted to VSC) and took old EAD and gave new card. You are lucky to get EAD transferred only in 10 days, I got mine transferred in 2 months after submitted to VSC! So, still waiting for this invitation...

No news for me, still pending...on Wed Nov 16 will go to Baltimore office to get interim EAD after 90 days of pending... do not think they will update me on my I-485 case... when spouse was getting EAD and asked on I-485, they told, no information, must make another infopass appointment to ask on I-485...

Sorry for the delay.
On Nov 16 they refused to give me interim EAD, because my EAD application was at that time not pending but APPROVED. They told it is not possible to get actual card immediately, I must wait for invitation for getting the card.
Invitation came same day, I went on Nov 22 (today) and got the card; card is valid since Nov 10...
So since I could not show the card on Nov 17-18, I got delay in my work offer. Not a big deal....
Yes I got the chance to ask about my I-485 on Nov 16, response was same: name check pending!
So more waiting...name check is pending 2 years and one months already....

Hi Guys,
Does this retrogression dates will affect to the cases which have already moved to Local Offices???.

I have three children born in US as well.
My case is still pending with FBI Name check.
It is only two years and four month in pending check.
It is about 5 month from my interview date in Baltimore.

Some thoughts about all of this
After 15 years in US (I left US only on three short vacations, the last was in 1999 and the rest two short trip to Canada) I am still in the long wait from FBI.
Color, religion, etc. doesn't mean to much to corrupted and beaurocratic organization.
Taking into account the situation, I could understand the wait if I were Saudi or Iranian.
I am not. I am white Christian and look 100% as white Christian.
All my family, my grand-grand-parents as well are white Christians all generations back that I know. I have MS and PhD from leading US University.
I wrote this to all readers just to say that anybody can be discriminated
by corrupted/clogged/beaurocratic organizations and corrupted government who spend a lot of money for defense=building walls for democracy outside and inside US (with thought the bigger the walls the more protected we are). So long wait time is applicable not only for Indian, Chinese, Pakistani, Iranian, etc. but for all other races and colors who come to live in US. It doesn't matter how long you live here, how long you worked here, how many children you have, how long ago you apply, what is your priority day, transfer day, interview day etc. on various stages and how long your background check is pending (it could up to 5 years today)
It does matter how much money and energy you want to spend and if you are going to go through "powerful Government channels" or "class-action lawsuits". The latter may not help.
This is socialism and corrupted traits of socialism.
I am pretty sure that my case is on the "dusty FBI shelf" and nobody take a look on it since October of 2003.
Why would they ?
Govermnent worker schedule is tight:
~9:30 come in
10-11 cofee time
11:30 need to prepare for lunch
12-1:30 lunch
1:30 cofee time (maybe meeting)
2:30 need to look on my email
3:30 need to go home
another day another dollar
I am sure my file is on the shelf for up to 4 year solid wait if I don't bother them through Class Action Lawsuit or some Senator make a short call to Mike (Chertoff) or Bill (Hooton). If I do bother them or better if somebody powerful does bother DHS/FBI on my behalf, they find it and will approve it the next day.
If I do bother them with Class action, by the court day, they find it and may approve it the next day (read the experience of user Mann and follow steps of Rahul Kumar in his pdf documents posted in FBI name check pending forums).
Well, may the next President put the end to this corruption- I doubt about this one.

This is an irony nobody can explain, I make 6 figure salary , my wife is British, I have three childeren born in US LC started in 2001 (EB1) and waiting. But this is not the part I am suprised, everything is the same, the same company, the same job title the same ex-salary, my co-worker has been approved 2 (yes TWO) years ago.
In conclusion, two tears in a bucket mf it.......

Well I do not have 3 US citizen kids... just one born in my country, she will turn 21 soon....I am not from India/China, but you are right, this means nothing.... I contacted senator/congressman, they just checked status (pending background check), nothing new...

Sorry about the late respond, I think I am becoming like INS. Put it on the shelf or never open it...never respond...do not care... do not reply to e-mails...
Beside joking same all same all. Nine months is over, still nothing. I made it a habit for the first 8 months to go every 20th of the month just to entrain myself and ask: Is there any improvement on my case? and I think they recognize me now and even say s o r r y. Waooo that makes me feel really really good because you feel sorry. All of a sudden I forgot about all the problems like I can not leave the country, I am annoyed and darn unreasonable waiting because someone at the upstairs is not doing his/her job. But just dare to touch their benefits or pension plan and watch how they wake up and get active....
So my friend, from my side same all same all. I have to wait to more months and then sue them right a way. DO not get me wrong when you sue them the judment is never job related, the verdict is " yes I give you 30 days to make a decision on this case" that is all. No body even asks WHY you have been waiting that long? What was wrong? What about the time period he lost because of INS ignorance? .....Forgetbait....
You know what would NOT be a suprise: after this waste of time (485RD NOV 2001) they would say no more citizenship...
Anyway gotto go and make money..
