vlorak, thanks for celebration.
Sorry for not informing you guys right away because the whole day was a mess and lots of work.

Detail:
I got there 10:10 a.m. and went to window #1, she handed me a paper to fill out and she asked me to give it to the officer they called me. She took away my Interview letter and scanned it.
I sat and filled the paper up. From 10:15 to 10:55 I was sitting in the lobby with whole bunch of other people and lot of kids which was really crazy.
90% of the people who showed up for interview were not dressed properly.
Jeans, sandals (flip-flops) Hawaiian T-shirt? come on.
While I was sitting there I thought about two things.
1) why the heck the gave me such a paper to fill-out.
A number - Today’s Date - Are you going to change your name? if yes fill it in - New address if you have moved since you applied for N-400 - HEIGHT?
and something else.
2) I got to conclusion that most of the people who cares about their life and immigration benefit are here on this forum to learn more. But majority of people don't even give a rat a** what so ever. Who show up for interview with flip flop, jeans and hoody jacket?

I was called by the actual IO and while we were going to his room we stopped by copy machine and made copy of my Driving license and Green Card and then he said before you sit I would like to ask you to swear that whatever you are providing is nothing but truth and I did.

So I was really looking for a lot of stuff to happen. I got my Green card through my Refugee status and I thought he will bombard me with whole bunch of questions (Possibly)

He went through my application with me and asked me some of the question on the application again and marked them off. And he asked me to sign my photos and sign the application two times and write my name in another box.

Then he started to search for the question but took him 10 min. to find. He said he used all of his papers and he needs to print more and I chatted with him during that time and tried to push my oath date for June 25th and he said it is out of his hands.

He asked me to read the sentence "I bought a blue car" and write "She cooks for her friends" and then he asked me the history and civic questions.
I asked him to ask me all of them + one of the questions were name the first 13 states and he said, just tell me three of them. I told him, be ready because I will tell you the whole thing and I did it right. So I answered all the questions right and he said he will recommend me for approval and asked me to wait in the lobby to get my letter and he said he will ask the senior IO if there is possibility for me to be at 25th of June’s ceremony.

I waited in the lobby for 10 min and got my letter and that was it.

I had this big portfolio with me and I didn't even open it. He didn't even look at my passport, nothing.
I asked him how long you have been working with USCIS and he said 5 years.

Any questions are welcome. Fingers ready to be crossed for me to get oath at this June 25.

Thank you guys.

RE: Congratulations

One more step to go and you are out of the loop.- Everyone was asking for you on another thread. I think they went to sleep or something. I am still here.-

Its 00:03 you should be sleeping right now.
I hope it is a short step (June)

** One question for you guys. Do all the cities have 4th of July ceremony?

Congratulations Nimche...btw...are you Tibetan or Bhutanese or may be, perhaps, Nepalese? I am glad to hear about your success story. You are almost done my friend!!

Well, I guess this guy was a philipino. Very nice guy. He didn't ask for anything. He read my application and he got to Selective Service registration and he said "so you are registered" and he marked it off. I was like, dude don't you have to look at the originals. Something I forgot to mention, the whole thing took about 30 min. and most of the time we were chating about gas price and bicycle and riding it to work and my oath ceremony. I hope I get it this month.

I should thank everyone without exception for being here all the time (negative or positive) to help to share and to teach other forum members and thank you for your good wishes. It has been a hard one year for most of us (almost for me) and if we didn't have this place to help we would end up some where else...

2BUSCTZN, I was born in Iran and just to let you know I am not really good at Pre-History of Iran.

Peace

I believe so. At least, I know NYC has oath on Fridays, so it would be very nice to get the oath date on July 4th, you'll remember it probably the rest of your life.-:cool::cool:

Congratulations, Nimche. It has been a long road for you, but the journey is almost over. Hope you get your June oath date, as requested, and that everything else runs smoothly for you.

On what basis did you get the refugee status?
Also to Vorpal - on what basis did you claim the refugee status?

I am glad and happy for your success

Nimche,

I am extremely happy for you. Your patience paid off and finally you had your interview yesterday and it went well. Exactly 3 weeks from today and you will be a USC. These 3 weeks may look like a long wait but time will fly by before you even know it.
What are your plans after the oath ceremony? Will you be applying for the passport right away thru expedite service or plan on going to one of the passport offices near by for the same day service. Do you plan on applying for adjustment of status for your wife thru an attorney and when do u plan to visit home?
Good luck with everything and my best wishes and prayers with you.
Keep us posted and don't forget us in your prayers.

? - I am puzzled by this question? Why would a refugee come back to the country that he/she ran away from that you call as home?
