H1B Extension based I140?

Gurus,

As I may end up in this situation, I have a question for you guys. If the labor through PERM is approved (under six months) and I140 is applied after that. Is there a period like six months or something to wait from the date I140 was applied to file an H1B 7th year or beyond extensions (similar to 365 days in labor application)?

With approved labor, you can apply H1 extension for 7 th year at any time, no need for 6 months waiting period.

We received out cards yesterday and with that our green card journey came to an end. Wish you all the very best and hope you all would get approvals pretty soon.

regarding my i140 petition

hi gurus... im a physical therapist from the philippines. my receipt date is november 23, 2005. im filed for eb3/consular/schedule A. until now i still havent received my approval notice. when i checked my portfolio, the last updated date changed to March 8, 2006, but i haven't received any email form uscis regarding RFEs and my status has not changed. what does this mean? is there a big chance that i'll be receiving my approval days from now... pls enlighten.. thanks.
 
great if it was a sub labor, your journey ended in 7 mths

NJrirlabor: I don't think you are out of retrogression until april 1st (theoretically).

VSC was processing cases till jan 2002. From April 1st they will process cases till july 2002.

I had a lud on I-140 (already approved) on march 6th.
No luds on 485.

Pending Background Check - Gurus Please Advise!

Hello Gurus,

There have been no LUDs on our I-485s for almost a year now, so I scheduled an InfoPass Appointment with an Immigration Officer.

I was told that my Background Check (by FBI) was still pending.

Please advise me on what I can possibly do to find out what is going on.

Wait for a week or 2 weeks. It may be a casual update. or It may be RFE. If it is RFE, you will see another update in one 0r 2 weeks saying that RFE is issued.

DO you know why you had a LUD on already approved I140?

Can anyone tell me as to what is the process for finding out if the background check/ name check is completed. I would appreciate if someone could shed some light into this matter.

What numbers should I call at, as well, as what information do I need to have with me.

I had two LUDs on approved I140 on February 24 and on March 6th. the last one, I think, is triggered by H1 extension (had LUD on H1 too).

any idea from your part????

I have no idea. My h-1 Ext and I-140 were approved some time back.
