2005 Consolidated Tracker (140/EAD/AP/FP/485)

I noticed another poster with RD of June 05 was refused even looking at his case despite current PD on the basis that VSC was processing feb 05. did you use any means to contact VSC etc.

I have never contacted USCIS for any of my applications. Everything came on its own. My feeling is, if everything is fine to clear, they will approve the case if your PD is current, irrespective of the notice or receipt date. But if some setps are not cleared like security checks than it they will not clear it and officially you can not contact them until the processing dates passed the notice date. But I have seen cases in this forum where in the representatives have been nice and have given out information even though their ND much after the processing dates.

In the meantime, yesterday we got our cards too so the journey is finally over.

Good Luck to you all!!

Is there anyone in EB1- Manager category who applied in Sept for 140 and got it approved? See my details in the signature.

hi, a quick question. can people see the status change when 140 get denied? will they only know it when they letter of denial? or they can know it through online status. thanks.

hey CHICCHU....did you read this.. will we be affected by this???

Read the Oh Law Breaking news:
regarding the duplicate labor copy issue cannot have a concurrent filing.. will this affect us??scary thing for me now.....

Ajaks
Ajaks,
Please give me the link for it. I did not read it. The update on my I140 is that - there is a RFE sent on 27th, don't know what it is yet. Do u have a H1. In my case it is more dreadful as I do not have a H1, am just on EAD. I did ask the attorney abt substitution removal coming into effect and he said- it will not affect already filed cases. Apart from that I don't know anything else.

CHICCHU.. here is the article............and yes I do have H1 valid till '08...but things will collapse if this one fails....

02/28/2006: Unavailable "Certified" Labor Certification, USCIS Duplicate Request, and Concurrent I-140/I-485 Filing

AILA has reported that the USCIS has agreed to request duplicate certified labor certification from the DOL and process I-140 petitions inasmuch as the filers take certain steps. One important caveat is that when one files with the request to USCIS to request duplicate certified applications, USCIS will not accept concurrent I-140/I-485 applications.

congrats!!! Miav, Think nato must be referrring to my post possibly

I tried twice yesterday without success, my name check was cleared quite some time ago, had email from FBI NNCP, guess may be I will keep trying to contact them on regular intervals hoping to find some nice rep, unless they record my call on the file and tell me not to call up again ;-)

Online status does not change for denial of either 140 or 485. People come to know from denial letter or by calling VSC. It is also possible to take infopass appointment and talk to the immigration officer there.

thansk. What about approval? Does online state change when it is approved? or basically you are saying you won't know their decision until you get letter?

Don't worry too much abt it. Just hang in there with hope. I don't think it will affect already filed cases.

If you exclude system glitches in very few cases, the Approvals always update on the USCIS website. It is only that the denials do not update online.

Congratulations Miav!

Congratulations! Enjoy your freedom!

I have called USCIS and opened a Referral through a Customer Service Rep.

Is it also possible to talk directly to someone at VSC who potentially can provide clarity? Gurus, please help. Thanks.

Gurus, is this necessary to extend H1B (7yrs +) when 485 pending?
I am confused. Unable to take decision. Could not find a positive answer. Please guide me. My 7th year H1B expires on April 2006, 485 pending from last one year and 140 approved. Have a valid EAD until Feb 2007 but not working using EAD.

What are risk factors involved if I donot extend H1B ?
I appreciate your time.

If your I140 is approved then you can file for 3 years extension.
I think it is safe to go for extension.
