Need Help On I 140 Acknowledment or Number

Hi All,
I need small help.

My Lawyer applied my I-140 on last week of July 2004. Till now I did not get acknowledment. When I asked, she requested once again with applied receipt. 15 day are completed. I did not get any information.

Is any one know how to get my ND, RD and Number to check my I 140 status?

Please help me on this.

I call Vermont Center toll free number. They said they want the Number to check the status. With out number they can not help. They took all my details and said wait for 30 day to get information.

Please help me on this issue.

my 2 cents

My I140 was approved in 33 days and I am not sure how but this is what I did ...
- I have always been employed in the U.S and I have proper pay stubs and W2's (showing a good salary amount). I made sure I attached enough of those (8 latest pay stubs and 3 W2's). I thought, with that kind of information, the officer does not have reasons to doubt the candidate.

- The substitute labor and my resume had a lot of matching skills or matching keywords.

- I had all the papers that were requested by the attorney. Infact, I submitted all the papers (degress, photos, medicals, marksheets, references etc) in 3 days (my friends say that it took them 3 months to do this).

- I personally scrutinized all the forms infact, I filled most of them. I made sure all the information was correct and I did not trust the attorney.

- I tagged all the documents with post-it saying what the document was.

Just my 2 cents ... I know these were not the reasons for the 33 day approval but just FYI.

I have the same kind of situation, my receipt date is 04/30/2004, got LUD changes for both 140 & 485 in september but no change in status till date..

Donno whats going on or how are they processing apps?

1. 140/485/131/765 RD: 09/13/04 and ND 09/16/04
2. RFE for 131/765 on 10/12/04 for Photos --- Pending
3. I-140 AD 10/27/04 no RFE ----------------Approved
4. FP ND on 10/28/04 and Appointment on 11/12/2004 California.
5. 485 =============================Pending

Tommorrow I am going to ASC, Detorit for FP and I will update status after my visit

I was in the same boat as you. My ND is May 12th 2004 for I-140(EB3). I asked my Lawyer to initiate query last week. Today my I-140 got cleared. I am not sure it is because of the query.

did your lud changed at least now?.
If so its ok, else the lawyer was playing tricks.

USCIS had mentioned to call them if processing dates moved ahead of notice date of application.
 
My AP is approved on October 29th, 2004 from Vermont. Some one please update sheet.
Still waiting to get AP in handy.
ND 9/24/2004 AD 10/29/2004

Some of the applications are still pending with ND end of April or early May. I hope we will get approval soon. Good Luck

My LUD updated after the approval and i got the email from USCIS.

FYI,

I completed my FP early in Detroit, which was scheduled on 11/12/2004, California. Initially they told me to come on due date (out of state FP was not issue at Detroit) but I explained her that I am coming from far and again I need to take a day off and she accepted my request.

1. 140/485/131/765 RD: 09/13/04 and ND 09/16/04

Hi

You / your lawyer might have issued a personal check ( for the I140 fee $135), see if it is encashed from your account. If yes, then you don't have to worry. Simply ask the bank to send the copy of check, you can see your EAC# on the back of check.
