waiting since 8/02 Me too. My I-485 was received in Aug. 2002 after approval of I-140. But, I was stuck at FBI name check (system checks or security checks, etc.) since then. Don't know why. Frustration and disappointed. The only right is to wait and wait.

You can renew your EAD by yourself. It is easy but takes time. I just got an approval notice on my 3rd EAD after submission for 4 months.

Sorry for hearing that. Some people got approved quickly after 2nd FP. But, others are very slow. In my experience, the processing time after 2nd FP is quite long. My 2nd FP was done in Aug. 04. I still didn't receive any decision on my I-485 yet. Good luck and best wish!
