Hi:
Thanks for responding. I am glad to hear I am not alone in this long processing wait time. I am still worried though.
Can you share some details of your situation with me?
1) Did you get a request for evidence and if so what did they ask for?
2) What type of work do you do...
--I have lost confidence in my attorney and, for now at least, am doing this on my own. Former attorney never properly advised me of options (like I could have had this processed instantly at a port of entry). I also found out he submitted most of our petitions without proper evidence which...
Got original L1A for 1 year which expired end of Jan 2003. Applied for renewal (RD Jan 21 2003) to CSC.
Still not processed.
Notice of action says processing time is 30-60 days. CSC processing time report says they are currently processing RD of 07/09/03.
Yet when I call BCIS for...
My employment visa is L-1a.
They requested just about every possible bit of evidence and still no resonse since they rec'd RFE on 06/17/2003.
I am curious to know how it works at the INS once the evidence is rec'd. I hope we don't end up at the end of the queue again?!?
I have asked...
I'd like to know this too!
I'd like take some courses too - anyone with any experiences doing this with L-1 visa?
Also, heard I will have to get all my out-of-US education evaluated if I want to use any as pre-reqs. Seems very costly. Any recommendations on how to do this inexpensively or...

But what can we do about long processing times?
lisansw, thanks for sharing your experience.
What sort of evidence did they ask you for?
Is your i-140 employment based and if so what visa type?
Did you concurrently file I-485?
I am trying to see if there are any similar patterns here...

485 vs CP? Opinions? Experiences?
Raju:
I have an appt with a new lawyer next week and will get their opinion but will do more research beforehand. I still have a lot of 'mess' to clean up from my previous lawyer which takes precedence.

Thanks indianexpert.
I'm not sure what you mean by:

What is the loophole?

{You should give this aspect a serious throught. If you are in

I found out my lawyer has screwed up several issues on us which I am trying to sort out.

Kudos to the organizers of this board. I can't tell you how much this has helped me.
I hope my problem is rare but someone can give me advice anyway.

I have been trying to get the goods on what the risks of concurrent processing are.
Our i-140 was filed last Nov (but not the i-485). I too am very frustrated by the uncertainty and can't figure out why our lawyer did not file concurrently.
What have you found the risks are with...

Also, I got the impression we could file EAD paperwork through local districk office as well? Is this true and would you know the pros/cons?
Thanks!
