Studying with L-1

Is it possible to study in US Colleges with a L-1 visa? I hear its possible with H-1, but people are not sure about L-1.

I'd like take some courses too - anyone with any experiences doing this with L-1 visa?

Also, heard I will have to get all my out-of-US education evaluated if I want to use any as pre-reqs. Seems very costly. Any recommendations on how to do this inexpensively or not at all?
