Time b/w stamping and plastic card
Hey ^(WiseWoman),
I could not locate the date of your passport stamping in this thread. How long did it take after stamping to get the actual plastic card?

Passports stamped SFO 12/29
Hey all,
We went to stamp our passports yesterday, at the San Francisco office. The whole thing took 1 1/2 hours. Good luck to all still waiting.

Spouse (primary applicant) also approved
A few hours ago the online status for my spouse also changed from RFE received to approved.
Thanks to all well-wishers, and the regulars of this forum. SillyMan -- what the heck are you still doing here ? :)
02047 progress
Here's progress report for the 02047 series. Looks like the rate of processing is fairly constant since April, when it fell by factor of ~3.
It is with utmost jubilation and excitement that I get to inform the esteemed co-immigrationportal-addicts that the coveted day finally arrived for me (regretfully, not for my spouse, who is actually the priamary applicant).
Our story:
WAC02047....
Applied 10/23/01
FP 05/12/02 (both)...
I and spouse received our 2nd FP notices recently, scheduled for different days (the later one was for Thursday, Oct. 30). I went for an early FP last Saturday. At 10am the center was filled to capacity and the person at the entrance did not let us in. However, he suggested that we check back at...
Just received 2nd fingerprint notice
Alas, for the primary applicant only.
No RFEs yet.
Hard to tell, but it looks like the FP notice was prompted by lawyer's inquiry.
How does anybody know that your neighbor's dog's owner went OUT as an AP? It only matters how he got (or will get) back in. My guess is that the moment he used the AP to get back in, the derivative H4 status is lost.
Or that April is the time when they stopped shredding at Laguna Niguel. Does anyone else here have this feeling that our applications went into the circular file, and all the stories about the delays are just cover-up?

Here's an obvious extension of your thought.

You are right, i am only plotting a small fraction of activity, corresponding to roughly one day worth of applications. It just happens that this one is relevant to me. On the other hand, Kashmir's data appears to indicate that the number of adjudicated cases is distributed roughly as...
Chart details
The chart shows the cumulative number of cases. It is NOT 170 cases per day (or per data point), as would be obvious to anyone who spent more than 5 minutes reading through the posts.
The graph shows adjudicated (as opposed to "touched") cases, meaning that the RFEs are...
The chart shows the number of adjudicated cases and that of cases still being processed as a function of time, starting with February. The trend appears to be slower-than-linear, with the optimistic expected wait of ~6 months on average.
Got the cards
Both me and my spouse received our EAD cards today. Status message changed to "This case has been approved. On May 14, 2003, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days...". The card are valid through next May.
Man, I hoped that my nick, along with the Nov 23 2001 I485 WAC (see sig.) shouted IRONY loud and clear.
