    Parashu, You can apply your self for EAD and AP. I did the same thing, I have received receipts for those. All you need is copy of your 485, and cover letter. I have filed 485 thru my attorney, 20 days back I have applied the Above by self. I don;t see any problem in this.

    switch between H-1 and EAD

    hi technically, there is nothing like switching to H1 or to EAD. If ones H1 expires, and he has EAD he can use it. And again 485 is denied, he can file h1 again. talk to attrorney I tbink you can do that.. I dont see any issues with it
