    I think the speed of the process really depends on the jurisdiction/DO. Mine was in MD - Baltimore DO. VSC got my application on July 5, 2006 and on November 13, 2006 I walked out of Baltimore with my certificate!!

    No Title You may want to hold on a little after the 180 days to be on the safe side. I changed jobs 224 days after filing 485. Never informed INS about it. Got approved Sept. 26. Good luck and hang in there a little longer.

    No Title gc_ss is right. You will never get your card until you go for the stamp. That is where they fill out another form of application for the card. This, I guess, is not an opinion.
