Give the First 22,000 Diversity Lottery Winners Their Green Cards, Then Fix Your Computer Error

I don't give a flying **** about signing anything. I just believe that if people disagree with something they should speak up. Nowhere have I implied that I agree or disagree with the petitioners. Guess it must be your poor written English and understanding thereof, which still astonishes me...

Give the First 22,000 Diversity Lottery Winners Their Green Cards, Then Fix Your Computer Error

Stop talking shit, bentlebee. If Americans disagree with something, what do they do? They organize rallies, petitions, strikes, marches etc. etc. Why? Because it's engrained in the American culture due to the First Amendment. You just have no clue, do you? Some of the people signing this...

    Dv 2012

I've been playing this lottery for years. I would never be so stupid to throw out the number. I just didn't know they stopped with the paper letters. The more you play, the more the lottery is something that's going on in the background of your life.

Oh, I missed that, thanks! Good, those stupid letters are so old fashioned.

    Dv 2012

Look on the bright side, the information on the DV website says that online results will be available May 1st. That's two months earlier than in previous years. Letters are sometimes received more than six weeks before online results are posted, so let's all hope we start hearing about winners...

I adore Palin. She's one heck of a charming airhead and she better run for Office in o-twelve or I will be seriously disappointed. She doesn't stand a chance but boy, elections won't be nowhere near as fun without the Whore of Babble-on. If I could, I would vote for her just to help make sure...

DV 2011 Winners from EUROPE ONLY

There are no family based wins. All wins are family based in principle because family members are automatically eligible to join the winner (if, of course, you are married and you are the legal parent of the kids). Note that I said eligible to join. If you decide not to officially include the...

please help me .... i have a problem

I've heard of a Russian woman placing an ad on craigslist, asking for someone to marry her for a green card in exchange for money. Someone did and they both got busted based on their IPs. However, that is SERIOUS fraud. Using an older pic is not serious fraud.

please help me .... i have a problem

So what? Do you honestly believe KCC is on Google the entire day, looking for suspicious posts in forums to do subsequent IP checks?? Even if they did, how will they prove it was not some clown using your IP? Anybody can post random **** about you on the internet, doesn't automatically mean it's...

please help me .... i have a problem

If you decide to break the rules, you should be more careful about erasing evidence. It's not like we can go back in time. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. I don't think they'll bother to check the extended properties of a photo file. It may even be possible you used an old canvas...

Probably a dumb question but post GC approval advice needed

Absolutely! With the temporary card in your passport you can do what any other green card holder can do. About the address. I'm not sure. I think your best shot is to call the embassy. I think they'll be able to retrieve it for you.

Probably a dumb question but post GC approval advice needed

Not a silly question. The stamp in your passport will be validated upon entry. It will then serve as a temporary green card for six months, so you can freely enter and leave the country. The actual card will be sent to the address you provided in the interview. They say it can take up to two...

Returning to original country after getting GC

Pardon me, absence can be up to a year. But since it could be hard for you to proof that you have ties to the US (which they can do under any circumstance), I'd go get one. Also, I have to admit I would be overly protective if I had a card.

Returning to original country after getting GC

Re-entry permits cannot be obtained outside the US, and they advise people to get one if they leave the country for more than six months. So 11 months will definitely raise some red flags considering you left shortly after getting the card. Be prepared to answer questions about why you left, and...

    DV-2011 Winners Report Here!

I think he meant that he wrote to ask whether his course work qualifies under the educational requirements of the lottery. In case he's a winner.

    DV-2011 Winners Report Here!

I don't believe any of these "winners". Edit: singular. Either way, I doubt that someone living in India would receive a letter at this point, unless a US address was used.
