Guys, Does the issuing of an RFE implicitly mean that the case was assigned to an officer? To know that there\'s more information needed, means to have read the file. Could this be a 2 step process where somebody does some kind of preliminary screening then somebody else adjudicates? I doubt...

You definitely can file where you filed your I-140 I\'m in CA and both my I-140 and I-485 were filed with the VSC. I don\'t know if that\'s where you should file but you definitely can. On the other hand since they issued a receipt notice, that may mean that they accepted your application...

the FP notice, like any other application, carries an EAC #, that doesn\'t mean it\'s the same as th If you do know you have an EAD, then just call VSC and request a duplicate of the card and notice, otherwise apply for EAD asap (I belive you can do that by yourself) and you should receive it...
