loulaa, Based on DV 2007 visa cut-off #, my guess is you will have your interview in oct-nov 2007. You should get 2nd letter at least a month before the interview.

nahh... don't worry about it. Getting a non-immigrant visa won't affect your chances. For your information, KCC handles DV-lottery, NVC handles visa issuance and USCIS handles your status. NVC will not know about your application for DV until you get selected and you fill out the forms...

I know I can call KCC anytime I want and it won't cost me anything. (I have free LD). I just wanted to know if it is time to call them.

3 in millions. The odds of you winning are 3 in millions. Last year KCC received approx.1.7 million application for DV 2007. Initially, 90000 applicant were selected and received NL but only 65000 visa will be issued for the year.

Masoud54, I don't think you would need two month for CP. it took only 2 weeks for lucyMo for CP processing. But in other hand since you are doing it in U.A.E. it might take longer than that. You shoud take 2 month off just incase you case takes lil longer.

Hi guys, My case# is 2007 AS000068xx and I am still waiting for the 2nd letter. Can anybody predict when I will get the 2nd letter and when my case# will be current? When should I start dialing KCC to ask for 2nd letter? Suggestions please.

The case# is in NL. so if Applicat A & B both received the NL they should check the letter for their case #. Today is april 11, so I don't think "applicant B" has received the NL since he will receive it in May. So, "applicant B" should wait till may to receive the NL.

IK626, Do watever you do but don't become illegal. If you go out of status, your DV will be automatically invalid.

Check Consular office I would suggest you to check with nearest consular office in Canada when you get selected for DV.
