My wife and I are planning to apply for US Citizenship. Both of our N-400 applications are ready. Can we send both the applications together. I am worried about them not seeing one of the applications by mistake, or mixing things up. Is there a problem in applying separately, as in sending two...
Finger prints redone one year after the passport stamping.
My wife's case was approved in April 2003. Next we got her passport stamped and had to move to a different state. We were waiting for the plastic card to arrive. We talked to BCIS several times, and had to go to BCIS several times...
My experience
From my experience: My case was approved in March 2003, and got the card in April 2003. My wife's case was approved little late in April 2003, and still waiting for the card since then. When I ask BCIS they say it could take any where upto 12 months.
another question
Thank you for your responses.
I got another question:
What's the difference between Applicant and Petitioner. Who is who? We are filling this form for the delay in receiving my wife's Card.
Hi all,
My wife got her I-485 case approved about 6 months back, and got the passport stamping done about 5 months back. We have changed our address about 3 months back and updated BCIS about it. But there was no status change on ordering of the GreenCard so far.
Few days back, when I called...
a letter to the service center
You may have to also send a letter to the service center. When I called VSC to check if our address change got reflected in their system, upon sending AR11, the service rep. said that the AR11 is for the BCIS center at Kentucky and that I had to send a separate...
still waiting for the card
My wife received the approval in the first week of April. She had her passport stamped in first week of May. Since then we are waiting for her card.
We changed our address, and updated BCIS about the address change using AR11. But, later when we called Vermont...
Same here.
My wife's passport was stamped sometime in May. When I enter her case number, I get the same message, saying ".... status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time ....". My passport was stamped in April, and got my card sometime in May. The message is fine for me saying...
My wife's case got approved 3 weeks after mine
Here are some details.
My wife's case got approved on April 4th, after about 3 weeks of my application getting approved. Mine was an Employment based RFE case.
Good luck.
My case is approved on 3/10/03. Waiting for wife's approval.
I got an RFE last october. Responded to the the RFE in November. My case was approved on 3/10/03. My wife's approval is still pending.
IIO never says you will get approved in couple of days
Hey Gogo_hari,
IIOs always say it may take about a month. Whenever I called they used to suggest me to call after about a months time. They said the same a week back. But, I got approved a couple of days back. MY RD was 10/2/01
Finally, my 485 application is approved today. It's been only a little more than 2 and half years since I have applied for my first stage of the GC process, but still it feels a long time. What a relief.
My wife's status hasn't changed yet. I guess it takes a couple of days more.
Thanks...
what is filing for AR-11
Hey Edison_NJ,
How did you file for AR-11. I changed my job. When I got an RFE, I responded with the employment letter, but I didn't exclusively file for AR-11. Should I have filed for AR-11 too.
thanx.
seeker_of_gc,
When you were asked for the employment letter in the RFE, on which company letter head did you have it? Old company's or the new company's?
Thanks,
Raghu
