    How long for Approval Letter?

You're kidding! Not only does it take them 10 times longer to process than Chicago but 10 times longer to MAIL an envelope?!! Do you think I could send the online verification with my I-140 or does the hard copy come with some sort of signature? I'm very stuck for time. Thanks for your...

    How long for Approval Letter?

It's been over a week since my PERM has been approved online but no hard copy letter yet. Is it possible to apply for I-140 with the online print out? I just don't want to give them an excuse to reject it as I have to premium process. In people's experience has it taken over a week to...

    Perm - EB2

You can file EB2 if you have the US equiv of a bachelors degree and 5 years experience. But I presumed the qualification and experience would have to be for the same job. ie IT qualification + IT experience. I'd be interested to know too....

    I140 Premium Processing, got RFE

I'd be interested in a response to this question too. I'm sending in my W-2s for the last few years as all indicate I've been paid above the required wage. I'll also include paystubs for the last few months showing a raise in pay for 2006. I'm with a small company of about 10 people. But the...

    Filing Perm Without Attorney

Best of luck with the next stages Mkung! I'm putting my I-140 together while I wait for the PERM notification. Hoping to get it premium processed within a month or so. Lucky you that you can file I485. I'm stuck in EB3.

    Filing Perm Without Attorney

Yes. I filed mine on my own. Couldn't afford a lawyer moneywise or timewise. I was very pushed for time with an expiring H1B. I just got certified in Atlanta in 75 days (EB3). It does take a lot of research and careful planning. But it's definitely possible. I've always handled my own...

    Atlanta center

I've read that you can extend you H1B beyond 6 years if : 1) Labor is pending longer than 1 year or 2) Approved I-140

    Atlanta center

Premium processing times for I140s under are around 2 weeks, presuming there are no problems. So PERM, the very stage I thought wouldn't take so long (45-60 days yeah sure) is the very thing that's holding me up. Oh well. Just have to wait and see or bail out of the US and start afresh...

Another question, why was your PERM denied? I can't imagine going through this hell twice. I'm sorry that you had to.

    Atlanta center

Immagraboy, Is there a specific reason you know of that it takes longer to process EB3? Or is it just based on the processing times that people have reported? Thanks

    Atlanta center

I'm in the same boat except my H1B is up at the end of Dec. I have no idea why they're so slow when Chicago are processing within 2 weeks. No answer to your question but you're not the only stressed out person out there.

    Processing center Option

Employer location unfortunately. I hope for your sake your based in a Chicago processed state. Atlanta is taking forever.

HELP: Long Time Processing PERM (Atlanta)

Not necessarily. Check out the PERM tracker for Atlanta. There are many applicants waiting well over 100 days. http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/atlanta-perm-tracker/ In contrast Chicago applications are FAR quicker...

3 critical questions for PERM Gurus!!!

With regard to the 1st question all reports that I have read indicate that it is unadvisable to try to use your experience with the same employer that's petitioning for you to get into EB2 catagory. I opted for EB3 with retrogression and the opportunuty to extend my H1B in 3 year increments.

URGENT Labor Status showing as Denied 7th yr H1B - Need Help

I'm so sorry this happened. But if you can't reopen the case, then hopefully the recruitment steps will be within the time limit still and you can just resubmit the same file taking care to respond to whatever they asked for that your HR guy ignored. Otherwise you may have to redo the...

Yes, you can. The details are on the USCIS website. Just fill out the premium processing form with a check for $1000 and mail it with a copy of your I-140 receipt notice to the center your application was filed. If you were notified that it was moved to a different service center, be sure to...

PERM filing Online or By mail ?

I presume (but you can check) that you'll receive a receipt number just the same as if you applied online. You need your lawyer to set up an account for you with a login and password to check the status with your receipt number.

PERM filing Online or By mail ?

Filing online is supposed to be quicker. Also, the online system will not accept non complete forms so you'll know straight away if you've omitted anything. Your receive date will be as soon as you hit the Send button, not after waiting for it to be delivered and accepted. Your lawyer will...
