I called like million times. You will receive a letter soon saying that your case is under review and you need to wait for 6 months before you call again.
These calls are not helpful :(
My friend got married last year. He didn't have a SSN at that moment, so his wife filed taxes (2005) as single. He got his SSN just a month ago, so I told him to amend his wife's return. Should they do it or ignore it? They have an interview in December and I am afraid that an officer would not...
2 years in a row in July I had my fingerprints done for my I-485. I know that they are valid for 15 months only. This year I didn't get anything. My case has not been approved yet. I had my interview back in October 2005. I made an infopass appointment, which is gonna be in 2 weeks just to check...
Guess what? My interview was back in October 2005, and still nothing. 4 infopasses, 3 phone calls, 1 mailing inquiry,.... I received a letter a month ago saying that my case is still under review and if I don't get anything in 90 days to contact them again

"... If you did *not* marry the U.S. citizen who filed the K-1 petition in your behalf, or if you married another U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, you are *not eligible* to adjust status in the United States ... "
• If the petitioner entered on a K-1 visa and the I-130 petitioner is not the same person who filed the I-129F petition, the alien is prohibited from adjusting status.
She had to get her GC throught him (first husband), it doesn't matter that she re-married, she HAD to go back and apply...
No, that's not true. If your wife came on K-1 visa and didn't marry that guy who brought her she would not get her GC through YOU. She had to go back to her country and get another visa. No EXCEPTIONS! Sorry.
My friend has never recieved it too. You know what I did? Your receipt numbers are usually in order, so try to see which number is missing, that's how I found my friend's application, so we just check it online for now.
I was told on the interview that I should wait for a decision by mail. I went to INS 3 times. I sent a letter. I called 2 weeks ago and requested a reseach. I was given a reference number and was told to wait for an answer within 30 days. Tired and sick of waiting
In this case what should my frien's wife mak in Part 4D? Option 1? and fill out I-864A for co-sponsor or it's gonna be also I-864 since co-sponsor is not a relative?
I helped my friend to fill out applications for AOS. His wife doesn't make enough money to support him, so we filed out I-864A (his friend was a co-signer). We didn't fill out I-864 since his wife dosn't meet 125%. Today he got RFE by mail that he needs to send I-864. Does he still need to show...
Mila, I need an advise too. I had my interview in October, 2005 since that day, NOTHING. I went to INS 3 times and I was told not to come anymore because it was just a weist of time. I was advised to write to an officer and I was given an address. That's what I did but I received my letter back...
