Good point. I don't think you should relax yet. Get ready for a lawsuit in case the name check didn't go through within 6 months. If you don't get it by then, it will never happen unless you do something.

Did you apply EAD for your dad. For EAD, they have to give to you after 90 days. Then your dad can apply for SSN and DL, etc. BTW, how do you know your dad's case is approved. They approved on the spot during the interview? If so, as long as the passport is stamped, that will be fine too...

I think Dr.'s explaination sounds right. Based on some posts in the past, seems like the supervisor will have to review and approve the case after the junior officer interviewed you. However, a young person is not necessary a junior officer though. I think you are ok as long as the dreaded...

Just get over with it. At least you were in love in the first 3 years. End of marriage doesn't have to be a nasty divorce. Secondly, you married before the GC. And it was not marriage based, you can't revoke it.
