I -864EZ - accountability for Sponsor

I have question with I -864EZ form and the legal bond/contract between the sponsor and the parent. I know signing 864 means that I will be responsible for supporting their stay in US. But would it mean I will responsible for any legal issues in India that they have / might encounter while they are in the process of getting greencards here.

I just to find out on what things will I be accountable by filling I -864EZ for them.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

I-864 is mainly to protect the US government from having to pay means tested benefits to a Green Card holder. As such I doubt they would care about any costs arising from legal issues in a foriegn country, even if its directly associated with the Green Card process.
