I just now called TSC and the lady told me that I have to get the Biometrics done (photograph for the GC) before the card can be issued. She scheduled a biometrics appointment for me and my wife, whose case is still pending.

After the initial approval email (just one) on March 11, I did not receive any update from USCIS. Do they usually send the card production email or they mail the card directly without any email notification? My wife's case is still pending and don't know why. Anyone in the same boat? Thanks,
