Finally the lawyer wrote back yesterday saying that the certified labor application has been received. The approval date is September 15. It took me about 3 weeks to receive the letter.
What a phenomenal mess the DOL is in? On a side note, I had written a detailed letter to Emily Stover...
My saga with the PBEC finally ends, though I am not sure if I should be happy or sad as it has been 4 years and 7 months. I just checked my status from the online site and found out that my application has been certified. Details are as given below:
State - PA(RIR)
PD - February 2002
RD -...
If there has been a NOF then I am not aware of it, but atleast I know that the case has not been closed since I just had the lawyer apply for my 8th year extension. This was about 2 weeks back.
If in those 2 weeks my case has been closed or an NOF has been raised, then I am certainly not...
nomoresilence,

After writing a letter to Emily Stover DeRocco, I got a reply that my case was assigned to an analyst on February 24, 2006 same day as yours. I am sure the analyst probably has not looked at it as yet.

I think the DOL is going to be late again, according to the AILA website, http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=19764. I quote verbatim from this document, "DOL also realizes that, once it has finished inputting the backlog cases and sending out the rest of the 45-day letters, which it...

FOLKS,
I WOULD REQUEST YOU ALL TO PLEASE CUSTOMIZE THIS LETTER BEFORE SENDING IT. OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF EFFORT AS THEIR RESPONSES WOULD ALSO BE CANNED ONES.

Folks,
I just thought of another way to try to get information out from the Department of Labor. Usually all federal agencies come under the purview of the FOIA.
Is it possible for the people who were interfacing with Rajiv Khanna to see if Rajiv Khanna can make a request under FOIA to get...
